Happy sunday all!!

What a nice surprise visit by your grandparents. I treasure the time I was able to spend with mine and still miss them very much.

I'm giving myself a chill sunday; I'm putting myself on electronics hold after I post this, I have a bit of cooking I want to do, have a couple of books, some coffee and some TV to watch. I need a mental and physical break!

QOTD - in the summer my only bucket list is not melting, lol. July and August are my least favorite!

Menu

Coffee + Half and Half; Coffee + 1/3 premiere

Brunch - 2 egg bites (I need to make them, hence the cooking)

AS - 2 mini salami + 2 oz mango habenero cheddar

D - andouille sausage or parmesan crisps and deli roast beef

Morning everyone! I'm late checking in today because I had a lie in for a while and then went to the pool for my 70 minutes of laps. The pool was busier than usual for 8am Sunday morning, but I got a lane and just zoned into the water.

I didn't feel good when I got out of the pool and when I got home I had a series of diarrhea. The only thing I can figure is that the shrimp I had last night for dinner were a little off. Oh well, I feel much better now.

The World Cup Final starts in about 15 minutes and we will watch it. I am cheering for Croatia and hopeful that they can win. I've enjoyed the World Cup weekends with DW, but I am really ready to not spend so much time watching TV and having my weekends revolve around games.

After the game, we plan to go to Michaels Arts & Crafts for DW to get some beads and I'd like to get a crab cake to bring home for dinner.

QOTD: our big trip is planned for October. We are attending the wedding of a friend in Santa Barbara and spending a couple extra days. We don't have other real travel plans for this year, but I'd like to take a long weekend either in the mountains or on the Chesapeake Bay. I also want to get in some day-long hikes but we'll see what I get done.

Menu: all will be dependent on whether my stomach stays calm. Lots of extra fluids though!

Breakfast: 8 almonds, strawberry Premier Protein shake

Snack: peanut butter RXBar

Lunch: not sure, maybe some turkey breast

Snack: beef biltong

Dinner: I am hoping for a crab cake

Exercise: 70 minutes of laps

Finally got some rain yesterday, but not enough to do much good. Heat index this week is forecasted to be 100. Oh well, it is July in Missouri.

QOTD: Nothing exciting planned for me. I'm working on a quilt for a friend and I want to get it finished and to her so I can start a quilt for our bed. The quilt I'm working on is quite a challenge. She took a quilt class and pieced this 90x110 quilt top by hand. She had it in a trash bag for 12 years. I had no idea how big it was. "Assuming" it was small since it was her first quilt, I volunteered to quilt it for her. Never assume. If I charged for my time, it would be around $200, but I'm only charging her for the supplies.

Menu today:

Coffee w/1 scoop Click vanilla

Bacon; Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (Eggface recipe)

Unjury RTD

Deli turkey

Greek Yogurt

Steak; salad

Yesterday was just amazing! My husband and I spent the entire day together, running errands, packing, the ice cream social, then he took me out for dinner. After which I kinda spoiled the day by taking him to the mall (which we both hate) so he could get a new pair of dress shoes for the trip. But we found a good store pretty quick and then we had fun picking them out and trying stuff on! Oh! And my Red Sox won in the morning.

Qotd: Well I have mentioned our trip to Germany. But after that I go up to Vancouver by myself for a week to work/watch an ESports tournament for a video game called DOTA2. It should be a really good time if a little hectic.

Accountability: The food choices yesterday were high calorie. I ended up at 980 calories on the day and protein was only 75g so it did not match the calories. Ice cream, italian sausage, and veal saltimbocca. I didn't eat too much of anything though, so I never felt uncomfortable. Today we are home all day so all good choices!

Bf: protein pancakes, 1oz cottage cheese, 1T sugar free syrup, 1t margarine

MS: 1/2 bag of cinnamon pork rinds, 1 babybel

L: 3 Turkey meatballs, 3 triscuits

AS: 2 protein chocolate chip cookies

D: I just realized I don't know... maybe tuna

800 calories, 80g protein, 120oz water, 1hour treadmill, all vitamins!

Who wouldn't want to SIT under the oaks and WATCH working. When I told my 93-year-old mother I had to cut our visit short to tend to a full day of yard work, she said, "lucky." QOTD: I stopped bucket-list-making when one turned out to be a nightmare--"be careful what you wish for" is all I have to say about that. I can tell you what is not on my menu today; dear little kitty came up from the barn with his daily offering of a headless mouse. Is he eating the prime cut and leaving me the scraps or what? Hmm...may your food source be better.

Hi all! It's a gorgeous, sunny, hot Sunday up here on the island! I have a few hours of work to attend to and then will take two dogs to the beach for a good long walk (,and so the lab can swim - her favorite thing to do, ever!). Went to church this morning, otherwise a pretty lazy start to the day!

B: lemony salmon with 1/3 t. mayonnaise

L: more salmon

D: not sure yet - I do have some filet mignon in the fridge, but think I will wait on it. Protein forward, whatever it is!

Have a lovely day, my fellow RnYers!

I love that your grandparents came over and you were able to throw a quick bbq with them! I miss my grandparents.

QOTD: We have several camping trips left. I do look forward to going away even if only for a few days. We also have a garden full of produce that requires canning. It will be busy.

B: protein shake

L: BLT without bread but wrapped in romaine lettuce leaves instead

D: breakfast for dinner

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!
