Surgery Yesterday
Well, its official I am no longer a stand by reading about what it's like to have surgery as yesterday I crossed over to the other side of this new life!
I'm thankful for this site, the forums and good advice/encouragement.
I'm still in the hospital, but feeling pretty good. My biggest pain is in my shoulders and collarbone, they say this is from the gasses they pump you with during the surgery.
I don't have an appetite and can just sip water, which fills me up, 1 oz at a time. I'll try some broth a little later.
Anyway, just wanted to post something. I'm pretty bored! ?
The pain will be gone in a day or so, just need to walk as much as possible to keep the gas moving, welcome to the other side.

Congrats on surgery! The gas pains can be difficult until everything starts moving again. Walk as much as you can even if it is slow and keep sipping your fluids. I did alot of warm herbal tea and that also helped with the gas.

Congrats on your big day! Walk walk walk, sip sip sip, it's your mantra for a little while (and it will help with the pain from the gas!)
