What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
I'd buy you an emu, but I'd still eat Mac n Cheese

Good Morning on this Friday-Eve! JB, have fun setting up your office. Thank you all for the get better wishes yesterday, I got tons of rest and feel much better.
QOTD: Travel would take a huge chunk for sure!
Time since surgery: 3 years 11 months
B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links
L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots
S: Krave pork stick, and Carbmaster cottage cheese
D: Buddig ham pack, low carb pita, spinach salad (Bleu cheese, pecans and Skinnygirl raspberry vinaigrette dressing), peach and banana slices, and 2 squares dark chocolate
ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal
E: 6 miles ran this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1296 Protein:114 Carbs:101 Fat:55
Have a great one!
I have the same problem with paper towels too. They make it confusing intentionally...
Enjoy the Red Sox game! DH would love to go but the overhead of taking him stops me (and it would have to be a day game or the next day after a late night would be tough).
QOTD: I'd probably do a couple more home improvements than otherwise, finance 1 or 2 more trips, but then save the rest for the future care of DH (Alzheimer's).
Accountability: Not good. The almonds are gone and I'm not buying more.
2 Years, 3 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 19 months)
Always lots of coffee...
B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: salmon, tomato and basil burger (no bun)
S: yogurt

Good morning :)
Oh my goodness, I hate trying to buy TP... Generally I give up and just buy the biggest package so I don't have to buy more lol.
No current plans or appointments for today. Might try to run a few small errands before the heat kicks in. The puppies are already laying on the floor to cool off so I think they will be okay with hibernating ;)
QOTD: If I had a million dollars (sounds like a song ;) I would save/invest most of it, but I would put some into renovating our house starting with our kitchen. It is original to the house - 1974 - and seriously needs work. DH would also love to start his own business so I might invest some in that ;) We would also use some for fun things like travelling. I have a travel bucket list so I would try to knock off a few places. We would love to go back to Ireland and see where his dad was raised and I would like to see Hawaii.
Post-op three years and four months.
Breakfast - protein popsicles
Snack - Greek yogurt and muffin
Lunch - cheese and pepperoni
Snack - egg and pickles
Dinner - pork roast and veggies
Snack - pudding if needed
All water and vits.
G'morning all!
It's almost Friday, right? This week is going so slow! Starting today DD is hosting friends from college for the next three weeks. They are coming in groups of 2-3, but somehow they scheduled it back to back. It was funny last night planning the menu for these guests and all she was asking for was my pasta dish. I kept saying we can't give them pasta every night but she said she had spoken so much about my sauce while at school that everybody is coming to taste it! Oh dear!
QOTD: the first thing I'd do is to put half of it away for the kids college. I know it might sound too much but colleges are becoming so expensive and especially when the kids go to grad school that money might not be even enough. The other half will be for traveling and buying an RV for DH. His dream is to travel around US in an RV after he retires. If it was up to me I would put the money towards more lux trips abroad but in a marriage you gotta compromise!
B: protein coffee
L: chicken fajitas
S: HB egg
D: TBD
Have a great day!

just a drive-by for now because I have to leave in 15 minutes to take a cat to the vet (she's fine - she's just *horrible* at taking pills and needs this critical (and expensive, I might add) pill every two weeks, so we have a vet tech do it)
I can't believe I missed yesterday! We had to go to the attorney's office to sign all our papers for our trust, and it took *forever*. Plus I told them I'd do a lot of the legwork on getting assets re-titled and re-beneficiaried (??) so they could ...now or in the future...go into the trust, and between that and a meeting with a caterer, it took up all of my afternoon (and will take at least a couple more afternoons). Then I was at a potluck last night, which in retrospect I should have skipped. Way over on calories and way too much sodium - I felt like a blob this morning and gained 1.2 lbs to boot (which I'm sure it mostly water from all the sodium - I certainly did not eat 7000+ extra calories!! But still....)
today I work more on the trust stuff and on my organization's Web site. Same story tomorrow.
QOTD: I love this question and I'm bummed I missed yesterday's - although I can always go back and answer it! I want to read everyone's responses, too!! A million dollars - well, for one thing, I'd use it toward my plastic surgery and our soon-to-be-built screened-in porch, instead of dipping into savings (actually, I'm using inheritance money from my dad for those - but if I was given a million dollars, I wouldn't have to dip into any of that!). I'd also want to save a hefty amount in an account somewhere (like $100K+) as a nice cushion so I never have to worry about money and always have money to do things that come up that I want to do (we don't have particularly expensive hobbies, interests, or tastes, so I think this amount would be fine). I would start traveling again and put in new counters and sink in my kitchen. I might also start "wintering" somewhere else so I wouldn't have to deal with Wisconsin winters anymore. Like maybe Austin, TX (I know it's not super warm there in the winter, but 40 or 50 degrees is infinitely better than 0 degrees - and also, I like Austin's "vibe"). Not sure what else. We're kind of "low consumption" people, so things like buying expensive cars or boats wouldn't be our "thing"...
3 years out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt, 1/3 mango
MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein shake
L: cottage cheese with strawberries
AS: L&F yogurt - maybe with high fiber cereal (hunger issues lately - UGH!)
D: bimimbap (meat & veggies only)
off to the vet!!
good morning peeps
Today is DH's birthday and I was running late this morning trying to get ready for work because Story woke up early so I had to entertain her at the same time...so I completely forgot to tell him happy birthday before I left. I feel terrible! I texted him and tried to call but he must not have his phone nearby. I won't see him again til tomorrow so we planned on celebrating tomorrow anyway but I still feel bad!
I am going to make some kind of low carb sugar free dessert tonight so he can have it as his "birthday cake" tomorrow...thinking some kind of layered pudding/cheesecake thing maybe with almond flour crust.
QOTD: DH and I play the "if we won the lottery" game all the time...so I am pretty sure with a million dollars we would probably do a bunch of home reno's, probably build a garage and finish the basement, and probably travel a bit--then invest the rest for the future and for Story.
Morning: Coffee w/Half caramel PP
B: dannon L&F greek yogurt
L: leftover turkey "stroganoff" w/broccoli
S: light string cheese
D: Leftover grilled chicken and vegetables
Have a fabulous day everyone!

Can you send him a singing telegram at work? Or a basket of protein? That would be so much fun!
Disclaimer : I sent DH a belly dancer one year for V day. He called me afterwards and said thanks, but if you do this again I'll divorce you! I'm a total extrovert while he is 100% introvert.
