How much does your doctor suggest? At that point I was eating about 1/2 cup or 4 oz, but I was eating only dense protein and often couldn't eat more than 3 oz at a time. Make sure that you are focusing on dense protein, which will fill you up, and not adding any carbs other than maybe some in dairy like yogurt.

I am 16 months post-op and in maintenance and still couldn't eat 6 oz of meat. Sure I can eat 2 cups of salad, but that doesn't stick with me and then I want to snack.

Also you may in the next few months feel like you could eat more, but that is why it is important to measure and weigh and log everything that you eat. Also stick with dense protein and maybe a few non-starchy veg eventually to keep losing.

Dr suggests 3oz per meal 5x a day.

That seems like a lot at 2 months, unless it's 4 ounces of protein shake, etc. At just shy of 13 months, I still rarely have 4 ounces. When I weigh dense protein for a meal, I almost stick to 2.2-3 ounces total.

Thank you for all your replies. I'm going to stick to 2-3oz of dense protein.
