What to look for in a personal trainer?

I know what you mean. I'm thin now and active doing walking and swimming, but I still don't think of myself as athletically inclined. I have little to no experience with strength training and alot of gym equipment, much less form, etc. I have my first appointment with him at his gym on Friday lunchtime. It is about 30 minutes from my house but I want some personal interaction to help boost my confidence.

HW: 248+, SW (RNY: 2/28/17): 244, GW (10/17): 125; LW: 115; 45# regain (19-20); CW: 135.6; new goal: 135; Plastics: Ext mastopexy, Ext abdominoplasty-5/18/2018; diagnosed w/ gastroparesis 11/20.

I highly recommend finding someone who is certified - certifications require continuing education. Anyone can call themselves a trainer.

My preference for certification is ACE.
