What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?

Happy Monday, Everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I had a healthy mix of work and play :) This upcoming week is a big grind, though. As you all know, I returned to my old company to take a new job. This week is training bootcamp, which I am attending, but because of my old position, I am also the content expert on a few things--so I am also giving a few of the trainings. I haven't had even a second to prepare so I am flying off the seat of my pants. I hate that.
Oh well, instead of being super stressed about what I have to do... tonight I am playing hooky from overthinking everything and I am going to meet Grim to see JAWS on the big screen at an old theater that plays classics on Monday through the summer. Should be a blast!
Accountability: Let's just pretend none of that ever happened and agree to never speak of it again, okay?
QOTD: What is something that made you laugh recently? We saw The Incredibles ii at the Drive In on Saturday night and I was actually guffawing at this. I had no idea I was a superhero!
I am really not confident that this is an accurate menu. We have a shared lunch today with other school leaders across the district and then I'll be having dinner at the movie theater tonight. So this is really only a best guess.
Good morning!
QOTD JB, the memes on your post make me laugh! Also yesterday the neighbors granddaughter who looks to be about 8, was outside playing with her grandmother, and he get so tickled that she laughs and laughs. You can't help but laugh with her. To me there is nothing more beautiful than hearing a child laugh!

This weekend was good. saturday we ran errand and I did get a burger patty to eat AND a mini sundae. I input it, took it home, then added a mix of protein powder and peanut powder to it as a sauce. so at least i got my protein in. it was a bit much though and I felt a little ill after for a bit. yesterday I worked really hard at the gym and did some prep work to be able to do a pull up on the bar. we will see- it is supposed to be my goal this month along with the 3 min plank.
went grocery shopping yesterday- TONS of veggies to be eaten. tonight im making a pork stir fry. DH will have noodles, I will have the veggies. also made coleslaw for me cause it is yummy (with greek yogurt instead of mayo)
food for today:
protein pancakes
coffee with this new creamer with whey in it (from kroger)
pork lo mein minus noodles
coleslaw and a leftover broc mash
QOTD: good question- my life hasn't been 'fun' lately - guess I do need to laugh more

Good morning! The weekend boasted beautiful weather after a gloomy Friday. We went to Chatham and poked around on Saturday and to the beach at the pond yesterday. Lobster roll at a restaurant on the harbor on Friday night, cookout on Saturday, and I made light crab cakes yesterday.
QOTD: Justice makes me laugh when he chases his tail. He twirls around in a super tight, fast circle like a figure skater spinning.

Morning all! It was a nice weekend with one lazy day and one active one. The weather was cooler, in the low 80s, and the humidity was low. Nice to have a break from the extreme heat!
Saturday I went to the grocery and got some odds and ends, then home to watch more World Cup soccer. The games were really intense and I am glad that they are in the final rounds this week. I need some time without soccer, even though it has been fun. In between play, I helped DW sort through some clothes for packing away and for donation. Now I am doing loads and loads of laundry to get all of the cat fur off of them. That is a project that I've wanted to do for months and I'm really glad that it is almost done!
Sunday I slept in since I hadn't slept well and then went out to Trader Joe's for the weekly necessities. I took the time to do some browsing and label reading. I am getting really sick of my usuals and need to mix it up a bit. The problem is that after I get home from work (and maybe swimming) and with the heat, I don't feel like cooking particularly, so I have been depending on easy things rather than cooking new foods. Also it is often easier to order take out since DW's food choices aren't usually what mine are and that means making 2 dinners or making a nice dinner and having her then say she doesn't want it. Frustrating! I am determined to take care of myself and make the best choices that I can though. The is the challenge of maintenance.
Saturday, I didn't get in any real exercise, other than shouting for my favorite teams. Sunday I went for an hour of lap swimming and then in the afternoon I went for a 2+ hour walk to a local lake (a little over 8 miles). I woke up this morning with a sunburn on my shoulders and the back of my neck. The path is pretty shady but obviously not as much as I had thought!
JB, I like your comment about abs. Now that the extra skin is gone and the swelling is slowly working its way out, I'd like to do some ab work. The PS wants me to wait until 12 weeks though, so another few weeks before the planks and crunches. My abs are so weak though from all of the my abdominal surgeries and lack of exercise. It will be a true challenge to get them stronger. Maybe I will ask for volunteers here to take an ab challenge in about 4.5 weeks.
QOTD: We went to see Incredibles II last week and really enjoyed it. I love cartoons, and yes, Reflux was particularly funny!
