Whatâ??s on your Saturday menu RNYers?
Good afternoon, weekenders!
I went to a 7:30 aqua fit class this morning, so I had to leave the house too early to post - and then I got caught up in yard work when I got home.
beautiful day today - I need to get back out there! I'm having dinner with a friend tonight, and I need to work on the Web site for one of my organizations, but other than that...??? Busy week coming up, though - and my July calendar is filling up fast. And I'm supposed to be retired!
accountability wasn't great but wasn't horrible yesterday (just over 1700 kcal - my maintenance range is 1500-1700 - but I've been aiming to keep at the lower end lately since I'm at the top of my weight range). My weight was up this morning, though - probably due to the Korean food for lunch (bimimbap - meat & veggie parts only) and two packets of instant miso soup last night (SALT CITY!!). I really need to buckle down - I wanted to lose 5 lbs before plastic surgery, and my stupid weight has not budged...
QOTD: I'm not a camper. We used to enjoy sleeping out in the backyard in a tent as kids, but going away to camp - no. Day camp was OK (just OK - not great), but I didn't like the overnights. Bugs, no indoor plumbing, no climate control - no thanks. A friend of mine who moved away a couple of years ago was a huge camping freak. I'd sometimes go to the campgrounds to hang out with her during the day, then I'd either head home or go to a hotel at night. Ah - the great indoors!!
3 years out:
B: Plain Greek yogurt with a little vanilla powder, raspberries, diced peach
MS: Miralax/protein shake
L: I was going to have bimimbap again (meat & veggies only), but I had one of those Larry & Lenny's protein cookies as a late morning snack, so there goes lunch...
AS: I may need a protein/fiber/fat boost to keep me from mawing at dinner. Maybe a small bowl of TJ's high fiber cereal (w/ unsweetened almond cashew milk) or a tablespoon or two of peanut butter on celery sticks. Or a L&F yogurt with some high fiber cereal on top..
D: meeting my friend at a Thai place. I'm thinking the chicken satay appetizer or one of those green papaya salads (the only significant calories in that is the chopped peanuts on top (protein! fat!), so this might be OK, too...)
ex: Water in Motion (I prefer Aqua Zumba, but WIM was an acceptable substitute - and was my only option today)

Beautiful! Late posting. Left the house early for a day of visiting with family and grocery shopping. I'm home now and not long for the bed, lol.
QOTD I camped as a kid and hated it. But after marrying DH I was willing to try again. We camped while in our 20's and then life got so busy we never went again. So fast forward 30 years and we find out we love fishing. So we get a boat and then we de ids we don't want to leave the lake so we buy tent so we cn stay an extra day or two fishing. Well, that didn't go as planned and the next week we bought a camper. Now the only place our camper has ever gone was back to the state park where we love to fish. Fast forward 3 more years and we build a house at the lake and then sell the camper because we never took it any other place. So now we don't camp at all.
Yesterday cals 792, prot 85, carbs 24, fat 39. Today 1st tea with half and half then pastrami and spring cheese, egg round from McDonalds and coffee. L bunless hamburger. D cottage cheese and artichoke salad. Snacks sugar free gherkins, almonds. Have a good evening!
