What's on your (4th of July) Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Glad you are feeling better Julia. Dehydration is a ***** Drink lots and lots of water today.
Happy 4th of July to all of you American menu peeps. It is going to be a perfect 85 degrees here. I am going over to a friend's house for a lobster boil (yum), and then fireworks. I am making a green salad, a curried cauliflower salad and 2 rustic apple pies. I will stick to lobster, which is not exactly a hardship.
QOTD: Fireworks are illegal in Oregon, but mostly legal in Washington across the river, so most people are not slowed down. They have toughened the law a bit in WA in the past couple of years, so the really big ones are only available on reservations. Again, that also does not slow people down. I don't buy or light off fireworks, but I do enjoy it when others do. Usually the locals put on quite a show. It is really dry this year, so it should be interesting. Hoping for no brush fires.
3 years, 7 mos post op:
B: Xtreme Wellness tortilla, mozzarella, 2 oz rib eye
S: 3 oz chicken thigh
L: 3 oz chicken thigh
D: Lobster, curried cauliflower salad
Have a great day everyone!

Happy 4th of July to all!! No plans for us. I'm hoping to grill but our deck gets the west sun full blast so it may be too hot. I have the air fryer so that may be my cooking method. I also have one of those rotating ovens I rarely use so maybe I'll cook the burgers and brats in that.
QOTD: Fireworks are legal in some areas around the Kansas City Metro. Crazy thing is there's a fireworks tent on every corner. Some communities allow fireworks on the day before the 4th and the 4th. People were shooting them off in my neighborhood last night and finally quit about 11:00 p.m. Today has been quiet but I'm sure tonight will be noisy. I don't buy any fireworks. I hate what the noise does to animals. Our little Shih Tzu that is 12 used to really stress about the noise but he doesn't hear well now. My pup isn't bothered except he likes to bark at the noise.
I was trying to do shakes all day and an evening meal, but that got old fast. The sweetness of the shakes is too much for me when I'm doing 4 a day. Maybe it's time for CAMAW. Worth a try.
I made a really good treat. Here is the recipe:
1 cup Cool Whip
1/3 cup peanut butter
1 pkg. Miniature Fillo cups
Sugar Free Hershey's chocolate syrup
Mix Cool Whip and peanut butter together. Spoon into the Fillo cups. Drizzle syrup over the top of each one. Freeze. You could make them and put in miniature paper cups but I love the crunch of the Fillo cup.
I tried the Premier Protein bar and didn't care for. It left me with that icky feeling you get from eating sugar. I'm going to cut into bite-size pieces and freeze so when I want something sweet I can grab a piece.
Menu:
Click shake
Ham/Cheese rollup
Snack??
Burger (no bun); Bean Salad; Celery, carrots, radishes
Strawberry Cheesecake Dessert (Weigh****chers' recipe)

hi all- yes fireworks are legal here- i got some of those snap and pops you thrown on the ground and keep them outside in case i see snakes/bears anything i need to scare away
Im seriously NOT motivated to study and that is what I should be doing until we leave for wings and the fair/carnival- oh and home depot
so far ive listed things to sell (makeup) on mercari app, made a little breakfast of protein fluff, had two mugs of coffee, made peach ice cream for later tonight for me :) it has 1 peach, cinnamon, splenda brown sugar, vanilla, almond milk, 1 tbl of heavy cream, and 2 scoops of cinnamon bun protein powder (they are little scoops for 100 cal for 2). blending and throwing in freezer- we will see...
I also cheated ahead of the 15th and took a few body measurements since I looked smaller and lost a bit in low hip/booty area and natural waist so yay- trying to limit that to 2x a month for actual recording.
not sure what will be eaten other than that today but got to get my protein in minimum
Happy independence day to the Americans and happy Wednesday to the rest, lol. We have my husband's grand nephews this week so they all went fishing this morning and came back when it got hot. Our volunteer fire dept has an annual fundraiser of Bbq so we bought that and had a no fuss no muss lunch. DH is napping now. Sounds like something I might indulge in too. There are so many people on the lake that it's not very peaceful sitting out on the porch. Boats and jet skis. They are really enjoying themselves. If I were younger I'd join them!
QOTD fireworks are legal here in SC but we don't buy them anymore. There are usually enough going off around the lake if we want to watch. The dogs don't like them, so we turn "their" TV up so they don't hear it too much.
Yesterday cals 660, prot 96, carbs 31, fat 17. Today 1st tea with half and half then peanut butter on 1 slice 45 calorie bread. L BBQ, fill pickle, bite of slaw. D leftover BBQ.

Hi everyone,
It's still super hot & humid in CT! I just came back inside from cutting the lawn. I drank plenty of water while I cutting the lawn and drank even more once I got inside but I overdid the water...too much at once and some of it came up. Yuck! Feeling better now though.
QOTD: Fireworks are legal in CT.
B:2 eggs, italian sausage, 1/2 slice of cheese
L: 3oz turkey breast
D: TBD but will be protein and 1/2C broccoli rabe
S: ostrim meat stick
Enjoy the rest of your day everybody!
