hi all- yesterday worked, got gas int he car and some special sugar free drink called celcius. i drank 1/2 of it before the yoga class. then i planked and went to cvs to get my protonix refill. got free mouthwash and almost free body wash that smells like vanilla and cocoa butter. a black bear ran in front of my car on the way back. i was talking to my mom on the cell when it happened (hands free of course) and she got an earful of curse words. i got a partial pic.

QOTD: I got nothing. I have like the book own the day- which i listened to on audible. lots of great tips for health- wouldn't say it 'changed' my life though.

so DH and I decided to try the fair after work today- I will meet him up there if we do it- tomorrow I am OFF work and supposed to be making steaks and spinach salad. I have 1 peach left from the market and might make a protein based ice cream for tomm... hmmm

of scale down 1.6 pounds overnight- drinking more water helped yesterday while keeping my protein number high.

food for today:

leftover chicken

coffee/PP creamer

prot pancakes

not sure what else- there could be fair food but if they have a giant turkey leg i'm in...

Where do you live? I would have both panic and colorful language if a bear ran in front of me!

A bear?????? Around my area, you need to watch for deer . They can do serious damage to your car and people have been killed, but at least the deer won't attack you.

When you describe life in GA I feel like we don't even live in the same universe...

me too - bears and snakes? Although we have some wild turkeys living in our neighborhood now - they've been around for a year or so (I suppose there are bears & snakes up in the rural areas in the northern part of Wisconsin, though - but around the city, no....)

Good morning! This is like the 1st of two Friday's this week for those who have tomorrow off.

QOTD no book in particular. But I'll go ahead and say it and get the groans, but the Bible would be my answer. It truly did change my life.

Yesterday calls 720, prot 92, carbs 24, fat 29. Today B 1st tea with half and half, then cottage cheese with a few blueberries, then more tea. L chicken breast and sugar free gherkins. D TBD. Snacks pastrami, string cheese, 1/2 premier shake.

Nothing wrong with the Bible being your choice of books. I've tried several times to read the Bible from cover to cover, but I've not done it. I find the Bible really hard to understand.

My mom had several Bibles so when she passed, my siblings and I each selected one as a momento. I chose a hardback study Bible that has daily devotions so that makes reading it easy. It is the Max Lucado study Bible. The version is NKJ. My personal Bible is one my sister gave me for my birthday one year and it is the ESV. The Message is another version that is good. It's paraphrased and some folks don't like that, but honestly unless yove got the original manuscripts, they are all someone's interpretation. So you pray and ask for discernment and pick one you like.
