What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
I found it by googling high protein foods! It is available on Amazon. Julian Bakery ProGranola Vanilla Cinnamon Cluster. It has mixed reviews because the taste takes some getting used to, and the sizes of the pieces is truly all over the place, some are gigantic and most are teeny little crumbles, but in yogurt it is great. Also, you will want to check with your program about the amount of fiber and when you can start having that much. I had to wait a couple additional weeks before adding this.
Oh, wow. Pre/pro-biotic, as well? That looks awesome. I'll send a note off to my program once I move into that stage and see what they think! Thank you!

Good morning! Hope your day gets better, JB.
QOTD apparently nothing memorable since I cant think of any. I've been with this company for 32 years, so....
Over the weekend I got a new phone and had a devil of a time getting into different apps due to not knowing my user ids and passwords. I am also so ready for this stall to be over! The scale has been fluctuating around the same 4 lbs for weeks. Ready to move on!
Today 1st tea with half and half, then Turkey sausage patties, more tea. L tuna salad. D chicken breast. Snacks light string cheese and deli chicken breast.

I have been waiting for wild berries to ripen for a summer menu of the best protein smoothies possible. Yesterday's second scary encounter with a bear will be my last berry forage--bears win. QOTD: my DD asked me to fill in short-term for her at her state park job. My first hectic, stressful day meant standing continually, eating nothing, drinking little, and resting zero. Little did I know how fragile my WLS body was; I ended up in the hospital due to a bowel obstruction. The hospital bill's co-pay meant for an expensive job that started and ended on the same day.

Happy Monday all~ I hope you have a wonderful first day back to work!! I had a lovely, relaxing weekend.
I heard form my son about his MRI results. Turns out there wasn't a fracture at all? They had taken an x-ray - I don't get it? Turns out it's his hip - a labral tear - official diagnosis. Which explains his pain he is having better. So now he will be on light duty, w/a new PT schedule, cortisone shot therapy and crutches until October when they will re evaluate him. If he is healed he will be re assigned to an admin type assignment. If not - surgery to repair, rehab and more than likely -medically separated. Well, at least we know whats what and that he will stay at Camp Pendleton for now which is just 4/5 hours away and that makes this mama very happy!
QOTD - I was 13... I picked cucumbers at a local farm with a bunch of other kids on a scary looking contraption that looked like a junk yard airplane. We all laid on these boards suspended by chains just 2 feet off the ground in the sweltering New England heat and humidity. We got paid minimum wage which I think was $3.10 at the time. I've never been so miserable or sweat so much in my life. I did it for 2 summers - it was all about the $$$
Accountability - great on the invisalign diet - stops me from mindlessly putting food in my mouth be it a peanut or a taste while cooking - didn't realize how much I did that. Staying put on CAMAW for now - RIP veggies ;(

From a mama's point of view I'm happy your son is staying put and closer to you (although 4-5 hours drive is still a hoof). But I'm sure he is disappointed he can't be with the rest of his group or do what he thought he signed up for. Either way I'm happy he will be taken care of.

Thank you, Sheila. I just want him to be healthy right now. Being able stay in the Marines would be great, but moving on either way... I am thankful he is being taken care of and getting paid!

Thanks for the news on your son and glad that they finally have a diagnosis and can treat it. Frequent visits from Mom should help the healing process!
