Good Morning Julia and Menu Family!
Good luck on your first day back at work, Julia! Your first day with the kids screaming and throwing shoes sounds hilarious, but I'm sure it wasn't at the time!
QOTD: This isn't a first day on a job, but it was my first introduction to sign making. I was at my first job at a grocery store and had just punched out when I noticed a guy sitting at a huge art table. I went over and asked him what he was doing. He showed me how he made the signs for the store. He had cans of ink with 3 sizes of markers in them and chisel tips and could make small signs or huge banners. He ended up teaching me how to make signs over the course of several days and I took over his sign job once he quit. I started putting artwork on my signs and banners and entering display contests, even winning some national display contests! People around town started asking who made the signs for the store and I started making signs for other businesses. Eventually I started my own sign making business that I ran out of my home. Oh, and I also dated the sign maker guy for a while, too.
