8 years post OP and need to loose weight
So my RNy was Apr of 2010. I have done fairly well over the years. Initially I lost 238 lbs. After the rubber band period i walked away weighing 165 lbs for years. About a year ago I got hurt at work and it caused me depression. Not only was i out of work for 5 months it caused me to have an increase in my constant pain threashold. I live with several nerve and back issues. This leaving me in constant pain. Although unbearable at times i work in a very physical job with very long hours. Because my nerve pain has gotten worse my pain doc put me on nerve meds. Since being on them I have gained 25 lbs. I need to loose. My biggest problem is snacking. I am hypoglycemic so i have to eat to keep my BS regulated. Im looking into dieting but not sure we're to go. Im thinking about the Me to diet but unsure about it this mature after surgery. Im looking for advise from us very mature RNYers. Not to be disrespectful to the nubies but I need advise from those whom have been where I am. Thanks in advance.

I'm 9+ years post RNY. I have reactive hypoglycemia and gluten intolerance. I stayed below goal for 4 years after RNY. I slowly gained weight about year 5 and have tried to get 15 pounds of regain off in 2017 with no success.
I joined Weigh****chers in May. I need the accountability of someone else weighing me weekly and staying for the motivational meeting. It is easy to use WW Smart Points and meet protein and other bariatric requirements. I've not been hungry and am doing well with a 9 pound weight loss so far. WW Smart Points are easy to track with a Mobile App.
This is what is working for me - others experience may vary.
I wish you well with however you choose.

I am also hypoglycemic, and have to monitor my blood sugar. I find I have no issues as long as I stay away from anything containing white flour - cake, cookies, ALL breads - and also avoid rice, pasta, and potatoes, including chips of any sort. And of course, sugar. I plan my meals to stay under 30 grams of carbohydrates, and I include two snacks high in protein. I had my surgery in September of 2010, and gained 25 pounds back as well after maintaining for several years at 170, so you can do this. Not sure how the pain meds will figure into the calculation, I know some medications affect your metabolism. But with careful monitoring, I'm sure you will succeed. Log everything, drink plenty of water.
