Morning weekenders! I had hoped to get in a long hike this morning, but there is a heat index alert (hot and humid) and an air quality alert on top of it, so I scaled things down. I got up early and went on some trails that connect local parks, mostly flat and shaded, and ended up turning around sooner than planned because the heat and humidity were getting worse. I still got in 5.5 miles. There were lots of other people out walking, running and biking who obviously were trying to beat the heat like me. It was nice to see people out enjoying the day!

Today is more World Cup soccer with DW, but I may go to the pool for a while between games and cool off.

Happy Canada Day to all of you in Canada! Enjoy your holiday!

Accountability: I was spot on for the third day of CAMAW. I plan to do another CAMAW day today and then to add in fruit and veg tomorrow. I lost another 1.4 pounds yesterday even though I did get in about 140g of protein and had my meals and snacks. I am at my lowest weight since RNY and I don't want to lose any more.

Menu:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 oz ham

Snack: Lemonade protein shake, chomps

Lunch: chicken breast

Snack: vanilla Premier Protein shake, turkey breast

Dinner: shrimp

Exercise: 5.5 walk in and maybe some swimming

Lemon protein shake sounds yummy and refreshing - is it a powder or do you make it up somehow?

Syntrax nectar protein powder has 17 flavors and my summertime favorites are the Roadside Lemonade and Lemon Ice Tea. Fuzzy Navel and the Grapefruit are also really refreshing. My standby is Cappuccino, but sometimes I just want something more fruity. If you've never tried Syntrax Nectar, OH (and Amazon) sells the sampler packs and you can try them and see what you like most before you buy the 2 lb tubs.

Happy Canada Day, Canadian friends!!

Our drive up to Wyoming was wonderful and the wedding was beautiful, simple, sweet and very love filled!

Accountability - I didn't have any issue with water instead of adult beverages but I did have to excercise every once of will power to avoid the red velvet wedding cake and the lemon drop or chocolate peanut butter cupcakes. The brides best friend since grade school has a baker called Worth The Calories and I know from presugery that it's truth in advertising! But I did resist and was happy with myself.

qotd - there was a 4th that we had an amazing yard party in a friend's back pasture - probably 80 of us with a couple of barbecues, dueling boom boxes and then someone organized an impromptu tequila tasting. A very good time was had by all, but we never did set off the fireworks!

Today's menu is up on the air as we'll head "home"

breakfast at the hotel - probably an egg with cheese and a sausagw patty

l - premiere in the car on the drive back to Denver

d - some type of cheese I'm sure

calories - 683, protein - 63, carbs - 9

Morning RNY'ers!! My run is done- day 35. I weighed in today and am super pleased that I don't gain any weight while away- I also lost! Yes!!

No plans for today, I should go pick up our dog, but I may push that off till Wednesday. I was supposed to have a nutritionist appointment yesterday but she apparently left the group. I'm looking forward to finding someone different.

Qotd: can't think of any July 4th more or less memorable than the rest. I guess there's still time to make one memorable.
