I was at the farm for a good chunk of time without internet. Sorry I missed last Sunday! It was a great, but busy week on my end. How about you all?
I am in Quebec City this weekend, and it's Canada day tomorrow. Gotta love a long weekend!!
Today we're hoping to do a little touristing, and take in a ball game.

L and D are in the air as we might be out and about, but there is salmon and pork and shrimp ready for grilling!
if we're at the ball game, I'll probably have a burger without the Ben.

It's my last weekend off before I start work tomorrow after being off for 6 weeks. I am planning to enjoy the crap out of it! Temps will be in the 90s and if you need me, I will be at the beach!
QOTD: I am pretty lucky that I get to ease back into work with two days on before getting July 4 off. Nothing like a 4 day week to get used to being somewhere every day! We don't have anything too exciting planned, but since the weather will still be super hot, I'd love another beach day, and there will be fireworks at the fair that is down the street.
I haven't put anything into MyFitnessPal yet, but I think this is my plan:
- Fit Frappe Mocha Protein Shake mixed with Hot Coffee
- Starbucks Egg Bites & Iced Coffee with Almond Milk
- Pork Rinds & Watermelon
- Leftover Steak Tacos

Good morning! Welcome to July 4th week on Cape Cod, the true start of the summer tourist season here. We went to the beach for nearly 5 hours yesterday and it was heavenly. It will be impossible to get to the ocean beaches over the weekend unless we are there by 9 or late in the afternoon, so that's not happening. Luckily we have a pond around the corner in case we need a dip.
Thanks for all the kind comments on my photos yesterday. This older lady is blushing!
QOTD: I'm not sure what we will do for July 4th itself. Possibly going to a friends who has all his children/grandchildren visiting for a cookout. We have company this weekend and activities next weekend, but the middle of the week is up in the air.
Accountability: 100% on plan again yesterday on day three of three on CAMAW, following three days of AMAW. I weighed this morning for the first time in a week and I am back in my preferred weight range. Minus 2.6 pounds for the week and exactly at the weight I was three weeks ago when I left for vacation (yeah!).
2 Years, 3 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 19 months)

A few years ago some friends and I were among the horses for the 4th on the cape, it wa ms amazing!!! But so so cold, we were not prepared but I still wear my cape cod hoodie on my AZ winter mornings, always gives good memories!

Off for an early morning swim and then the weekly trip to Trader Joe's for the essentials. It is supposed to be a hot one today...close to 100 temp, so as much as I'd like to be out for a hike or something, I will be mostly indoors watching more World Cup soccer with DW.
Second day of CAMAW was successful in spite of temptations. No nuts or pie and no fruit or veg, which I am missing. I plan to do today CAMAW as well, but not sure how many more days I will do. I didn't weight yesterday but this morning I am 118, .4 pounds from my lowest weight and down from 121 on Monday. After all of the good advice on not restricting post-op and not losing too much weight because of muscle loss, I want to be very careful about losing much more. I may add fruit and veg back in on Monday and then see how it goes.
Accountability: very good!

QOTD: We don't have much planned for the 4th here. I hope to get in a nice swim and maybe a walk if the temp isn't too high. We plan to see Incredibles 2 sometime in the next few days, which should be very fun.

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, ham
Snack: Chomps, vanilla Premier protein shake, 1 string cheese if needed
Lunch: 2 TJ's chicken sausages
Snack: salmon jerky, turkey breast
Dinner: not sure, but I am hoping for a crab cake!
Exercise: 45 minutes of swimming laps, but no Aqua Zumba yet.

it'll be hot as blazes here in Wisco today, too, so anything that needs to be done will probably need to be done this morning. My only plan for this afternoon is to sit in air conditioning! (probably here at home - but I'd consider a movie, too!)
accountability was great yesterday - I need to keep at this!!!
QOTD: no plans for the 4th. DH wants to do yard work that day if the weather cooperates. To me, it'll be just another day since I'll be RETIRED (I have to go in on Monday for a couple of hours to wind up some end-of-the-fiscal-year stuff, but that's IT!!)
