What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
He is affiliated with a hospital program but basically is a one man show not part of a group. He is friendly but just not good with followup.

He has never been particularly good at bloodwork even early on. He only prescribes a Chem panel, Vit D, and B12. I had to ask my PCP to do my Ferritin, etc. since I have a history of low Iron. I am just trying to take responsibility of my own health.

Remember that low body fat is associated with just as many health risks as your body fat being too high. You don't need to lose any more weight.
OH is an amazing support system but there is also plenty of striving for perfection and there's a difference between allowing for a bounce back and depleting your stores of body fat. What does the 'ideal' say for your age and why do you need to be better (in your mind) than ideal?
Signed,
Someone with 17% body fat who is now in counseling because I can't allow myself to gain any back

The range for my height (5') is 97 to 127 and I am averaging about 120. I'd love to be more in the middle of the range, but honestly, I don't think I can do it and stay there.
I really appreciate the input about this since it really is possible to get out of balance in my own head.

BMI is really bogus when you have a better data point. It's nice to start there, but a DEXA is the end all be all of data points and 17% is too low for your age.
I'm 35 and when I had my most recent DEXA the guy said that he's seen woman bodybuilders come in at the end of competition prep without BF as low as mine. That struck a chord with me. I follow a Keto bodybuilder on Instagram and YouTube and she was 14% the day of her competition after 22 weeks of prep and every vein in her body was pronounced.
I am mentally very far down a rabbit hole with my weight. It's something I hadn't really considered happening to me, but as NYMom22 has said to me before "It's really just two sides to the same coin". If you eat excessively you can also over restrict.
