I was eating pork rinds which I usually don't, but I needed something to munch on. I also got some Ostrim meat sticks which are very low in sugar.

I weighed this morning: down 2.6 pounds from one week ago and back in my weight range. Whew! I am the same weight exactly as 3 weeks ago when I left for vacation.

Mornin' All!

My retirement party is today (actually a joint one - one of my co-workers is retiring, too. We wanted a joint one since neither of us likes being the center of attention). Feeling a bit melancholy. I have to remind myself that I'm not really enjoying my job anymore - it's time to move on. And I've been planning this for a long time. Although after 16 years in the same spot, this is a bit tough...

Ate too much yesterday. I had that piece of cake at lunch (and I think I experienced some RH a couple of hours later - first time - I'm kind of glad, though, since it'll keep me from eating things like that again - or more than a couple of bites, anyway!), then we had a board meeting at Panera and I had a "Pick 2" black bean soup and Asian chicken salad. Then there were a couple of other things (not bad things - but more calories). Still feeling it this morning. Ugh. Today there's the party at lunch. At least there's nothing after this for awhile...I need to a few "clean" days to clear out and reset again!

QOTD: there's a ton of summer festivities around here, but there aren't any we consistently go to - we've got the county fair, Jazz Fest, Blues Fest, Italian Fest, Art Fair on the Square, horse fairs, Brat(wurst) Fest, Concerts on the Square (these go on most Wednesday evenings through the summer), I can't even remember what else - it seems like there's something going on every weekend. I guess because we have such short summers - we take advantage of them!

3 years out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with chia seeds and homemade blackberry/blueberry sauce

MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein shake

L: I know there will be pizza and cake, not sure what else. I'll either have one piece of pizza or eat just the toppings off two. I think I'll skip the cake today - ugh.

D: corn on the cob, pork chop

It's a little sad and a little strange to leave the old, but the new will bloom beautifully before you in wonderful and unexpected ways. Happy retirement! Enjoy the party!
