Good luck with AMAW! I am going to do a couple days of CAMAW too. I feel like I need my protein shakes right now since I am still 6 weeks post PS to keep my levels extra high. Maybe I am kidding myself but I want to be sure that I have maximum healing potential. I plan to keep my non-AMAW foods to protein shakes and eggs for breakfast, no other dairy.

All the best!

I've never done AMAW, but it's rare that I deviate from CAMAW, except for the cashew milk I put in my tea (25 calories, 0 sugar, and 1 gram of carbs in 8 ounces). I remember getting terrible headaches when starting liquid diets in the past or when fasting altogether! The worst was when I fasted and didn't realize I should first have tapered off of coffee - holy moly, what a horrible headache! I hope that you feel much, much better today!

I can relate! I really like my smoked gouda. Giving it up altogether would be a challenge! So glad you're feeling better.

Please excuse my ignorance but what is AMAW/CAMAW? Thanks in advance.

AMAW = All meat all week.

CAMAW = Critters (+) All meat all week.

Critters would be animal products which aren't meat, like milk, cheese, yogurt, and eggs.

All of these are ways to get over carb cravings and to push stalled or slowed weight loss.

That's sounds difficult for sure! Thanks for the information. I may need to try this when I get back from vacation.

Thank you for asking. I was wondering the same thing.

I need to do something to kick my behind into gear.

So I'm just reading this late Friday. I also really struggled with AMAW the first couple of days as I had never done it and I eat a LOT of dairy usually. My head was killing me. But day 3 was easy... I felt fine and didn't crave much. Maybe because I knew I wasn't going to do it another day? The next day when I did CAMAW it was like going to heaven. I am still enjoying it and I'm just finishing day 3 of CAMAW at the end of the day today. My carb cravings really are pretty low now. I am weighing for the first time in a week tomorrow morning. We will see where I'm at (I was about 1.5 pounds above the top of my usual weight range last Saturday at the end of vacation).

Good luck for your weigh in tomorrow.

Yup, the headache is gone on day 3. It's not so much the craving but the boredom. I went on Amazon and ordered tons of sugar free jerky, didn't realize till yesterday most jerkeys are full of sugar. I just get tired of just eating meat. But between you and me I'm gonna try and stick it out till Mon morning, see if I can. I 'm on day 3 and supposedly the hard stuff is done, right? We shall see!
