What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
LOL on the tacos - I've been thinking that they will be on the menu soon as well! I envy your down day today. We have to trek into Boston again but it shouldn't be quite as long a day as Tuesday and we don't have any more appointments for a while thank goodness.
QOTD: We have an annual Street Fair the Wednesday after the 4th of July every year. All of Main Street is shut down and lined with 4 rows of booths. Lots of us go together and browse, buy, then go out to lunch together. I used to wonder what the excitement was but after I went to my first one a number of years ago I think I've only missed one. We also have the Barnstable County Fair at the end of July. We can walk to it from our house and went to a great show last year. I want to go for some of the entertainment this year as well if possible, but we have a lot of company around that time so it may not work out.
Accountability: 100% on plan again yesterday on day one of three on CAMAW, following three days of AMAW. I have held off on weighing until Saturday hoping that I am back in my preferred weight range after vacation at that point.

You have motivated me to do a CAMAW to readjust my plan. Gotta get this under control before the honeymoon runs out!

I've started to view it as another "tool" in addition to my surgery because it definitely does help calm those carb cravings. And knowing that it is only for a specific number of days works for me in being motivated for the first day or two (the other few are always pretty easy for me once I'm in the routine).

Woohoo! I made it through the end of the school year, hosted our family reunion picnic and finally get to leave on vacation tomorrow. I have been crazy busy but I am checking in at least for today.
Accountability: I have been a bottomless pit... this must stop and I need to get back into my routine. I think this might be a challenge as we are leaving for Nashville tomorrow. I have packed good wholesome protein packed foods and lots of water. I can do this. My goal is not to gain but also to live :)
QOTD: We always host the family/friends reunion picnic (which was this past weekend). There were probably 60ish people at our house. It rained so we had to set up in the barn (which everyone seemed to like) and clean up was a breeze! It is a lot of work but I enjoy doing it every year.
Breakfast: PP shake and a peach
Lunch: I am meeting my teaching partners at Spork Cafe for lunch. They use all local farm fresh ingredients and the menu changed every day so I am not sure what lunch will be.
Dinner: most likely will be the leftovers from my lunch.
I probably won't check in while we are away. I plan on walking and seeing everything I can see and do in Nashville. Have a great week!

G'morning all!
Liz, if you read this I have copied you and started AMAW! It's sooooo HARD! I never realized how much I relied on my protein shake, and yogurt and cheese for some variety in my day. I was not a big meat eater before WLS but I learned to adapt and used the dairy and the protein shake as the highlight of my day. Let me tell you, yesterday was not fun and the headache!!! I used to get those on the first day of a diet after a binge. You would think carb withdrawal should be a lot less, but jeez the headache is still there. Anyway, I'm planning on sticking with it for the three days and then upgrade to CAMAW. It's gonna feel like heaven. And coffee without creamer is yuck! I switched to salted caramel tea that was recommended by Cara.
QOTD: we have tons of arts and wine festivals in our area in various towns. All summer long you can go to one or another. When the kids were younger we used to go to Tahoe for the first week of Aug. It was DH's tradition, he started doing it when he was 3 and he has a group of friends who did the same and they all got together in Tahoe every hear. About 4-5 years ago our kids rebelled and said they were too bored in Tahoe, which I don't blame them. I was too. It was fun only for DH because of all the memories. I try to mix it up for summer and have different vacations, but recently we keep going back to Kauai but you don't hear me complain about that! ;-)
