Good morning :)

I love the Bourne movies!! And I've never seen any of the Jurassic Park movies either. I did finally watch the new Ghostbusters movie yesterday though ;)

Had a nice lunch yesterday catching up with the ladies. It feels like forever since I've been at school. I didn't explore much because the weather was pretty gross.

Today DH and I are meeting up for our lunch date and then I will pick up a few groceries. I plan to hibernate for the weekend -- especially since we were busy last weekend.

QOTD: usually we go to the family cottage during the summer but we are saving up DH's vacation days for when little nugget gets here. Also my birthday is in July and I love having "birthday week". Usually I go around catching up with people, hanging out, and doing different things with them -- e.g. going to the movies, getting a a manicure, etc. This year will be pretty quiet - we are having friends over for a BBQ and to meet their new puppy and then the weekend after we are going to a southern BBQ restaurant with a group of close friends.

Post-op three years and three months.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - Greek yogurt and oatmeal bites

Lunch - restaurant tbd

Snack - cheese whisps and crackers

Dinner - leftover pork stirfry

Snack - pudding and cherries

All water and vits.

Hi all! Happy Thursday!

JB, I vote for Jason Bourne, though the Jurassic Park movies are entertaining too!

Reading everyone's plans and upcoming events was a sort of nostalgic sugar rush! Summer is so beautiful, and the Fourth is especially a favorite of mine. I have wonderful memories of the Fourth festivities from years past! I'm not yet sure if I'll stay here on the island and enjoy the small town cuteness of the parade, ice cream social (no ice cream for me, of course), outdoor concert and fireworks on the beach, or if I'll go into the city for a seriously grand display. We're so far north that the fireworks won't start until around 10 pm - it's not dark enough before then. I really really love fireworks! Then there's a block potluck party the Saturday after the 4th, which should be fun. This weekend I'm going to an herbal conference and later on a barbeque and big party in Seattle. Then I'm taking my son and my daughter-in-law out to dinner on Sunday. Can't wait to have time with them! I will keep to CAMAW and do my best to constrain my portions even though I'll be a bit out of my normal food routine.

QOTD: Growing up, we usually spent August at our summer house on the lake. I have the best - seriously, the sweetest and best - memories of those summers. Swimming and canoeing in the lake, skipping stones, hunting for arrowheads. Climbing up into the apple tree to read or to hang my doll in a little wicker cradle and sing it lullabies. Painting, playing croquet or badminton, lying on the lawn on blankets still smelling not-so-faintly of mothballs to examine and discuss the ever-shifting shapes in the clouds. Visiting the County Fair. Making a fire in the huge fireplace at night. Reading through years of ancient National Geographics. It was all beautiful! We were usually at home in July for the Fourth and our annual block party was a great chance to catch up with all of the neighbors. Plus there was Wimbledon on the TV, and at night in my town there was the most incomparable fireworks display - quite honestly, I've yet to see it surpassed. Good times!

First: tea! Gigantic mugs of it! Plus today I will have some coffee. Yum!

B: ham and smoked gouda

L: turkey

D: Cajun shrimp again - that was so good!

Have a wonderful day, my friends!

Good morning and happy Thursday~ I love tacos and Mexican food is my favorite of all time. I could seriously live on it for the rest of my life. I've only seen the 1st Jurassic Park movie, so I need to got on that, but all the Jason Bourne movies are awesome - Sounds like an awesome day to me -enjoy!

My back has improved some, but is still quite uncomfortable. If I were a contortionist I could stretch my low back further and get some relief. Yoga poses are helping, but Tylenol is just crap. What I wouldn't give for Advil, I'm jonesin' over here...

Good morning menu buddies! I woke up early this morning to get ready for personal training and to have time to do my exercises and wear the bite corrector after sleeping for the second time with my sleep apnea dental device. I hope I only have to wear it a little while until the majority of the weight comes off. So far, not a fan.

Qotd: No real traditions here. At least not until September. We try to get some hikes in, and attend a friend's annual ice cream social (none for me this year though!). Come September we go to the same lodge every year to celebrate my husband's birthday and our anniversary. I always get the same cake topper we had at our wedding and most years we throw almost all of it away. Except last year when we planned the second part of our trip suuuuper badly and that cake was our only food for 2 days.

Accountability: On point. Increased my treadmill time to one hour because after laying down for two hours for waxing then taking a two hour nap I was nowhere near my step goal.

Bf: 1egg, 1 slice Dave's killer bread powerseed thin, 1t sugar free preserves, 1t margarine

MS: 2T leftover chimichanga filling

L: 4oz siggi's yogurt, 37g Julian's bakery Progranola

AS: 2oz sliced deli meat rotisserie chicken

D: 1/2 baked chimichanga

A premier protein or cheese whisps if needed, and a 1/4 cup blueberries

About 750 calories 75g protein, 1 hour personal training, 35 minutes treadmill, 120 oz water, all vitamins

Good morning or afternoon depending on where you are. I have been struggling the last couple weeks. It's all stress related. My son not working and so not contributing to expenses plus hubby stressing about money or the lack thereof pushed me over the edge. Son got a job today so hopefully that will relieve some of hubby's worries. I, too, have stressed about money, but I don't talk about it.

My food of choice is always sweets even though sugary foods make me sick. Why do I do that to myself? Today is hubby's birthday so I made Butterscotch Bars and Chocolate Chip Cookies for him to take to choir. It took hours for me to go to sleep last night because I sampled both. I've put them out of sight.

JB, I see Fit Frappe on you menu every day. I tried it a few years ago. Do you mix it with water or milk? I'm thinking of trying it again.

I watched My 600 lb. Life last night. The patient switched to mostly veggies and no meat. He gained and Dr. Now scolded him for changing his diet. Dr. Now told him not to eat veggies and, of course, no carbs.

Do you who are posting here keep your carbs to a minimum and how many calories a day do you try to maintain?

Thanks

~Jo~

My carbs are virtually always under 20 grams per day, but I allow for 30. I strive to keep my calories per day to 625 or less, and get at least 60 grams of protein in, though I prefer 70+.
