What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?

Hellooooooo and Happy Friday Eve! What's new? I had a nice day yesterday. We put up the ceilings, I went for a great nature walk, did some shopping, and even dipped my toe back into the work world and started reviewing some documents. Today will be a total wash-out, so it is my excuse for having a crazy lazy day. Grim and I are planning on having a movie marathon and watching a series. He has never seen any of the Jurassic Parks! And I have never seen any of the Jason Bourne movies... Not sure what we will watch, but something like that :)

Accountability: I was a bottomless pit last night and had pork rinds (thanks, Cynthia!), cheese & salami and wine. And I was rewarded with a three pound gain this morning. Not "real" of course, but still...!

QOTD: Do you have any annual summer traditions? We have a huge annual fair that is less than a mile from the house that you cannot miss! It is really huge and has all the latest rides and shows and is really tops for crazy people watching. It runs for two weeks and starts on Friday! Cant wait! We also have an annual tradition of going up to Maine for a lobster bake. It will be tough to make it this year because I will be in my 3rd week of work, but hopefully we can make it happen.

I didn't add dinner to my menu today. If you couldn't tell from my constant taco memes, I am hankering for some Mexican food, and hope I can convince a certain someone to go out tonight ;)

Had a few pork rinds myself yesterday from my fun size barrel of UTZ pork rinds from Amazon.

QOTD: there's a restaurant by the water, similar to the one we went to the other night, when you order at the window and wait for your number. Thursdays is buy one lobster get one free. So I like to go on a Thursday night at sunset, sit and watch the boats, and eat lobster.

B: latte, overnight oats

L: bbq chicken pizza on low carb pita

D: Turkey meatballs, zucchini

S: protein drink, homemade protein bar, veggies

Ex: rest day. First art class of summer, and I have a lot to do to get ready.

I can't handle live lobster that I have to cook myself. I do, however, have no problem eating a lobster someone else has cooked for me.

The one time we cooked live lobster at home I felt so bad about doing it that I left the room while my husband prepared them. I couldn'****ch. They were tasty critters though.

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

My brother once prepared live lobsters for us, long ago. My son refused to eat them. He was appalled by the barbarity! But I enjoyed them, poor things!
