What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

Karen me too! I wrote a kids book - a little kids book - way back when, and completed about a dozen illustrations for it, but I need to revive that project. I will scan those watercolor illustrations and work on them in Photoshop and Illustrator. It's a good story and shouldn't just be gathering dust. Thanks for the reminder!
That's awesome, Cara! I know nothing about doing art on the computer (Photoshop or Illustrator). I'm using a book kit called Illustory which I think is actually made for kids to write their own books. You can only use water-based markers to draw the pictures and it's hard to find water-based markers that are fine-tipped enough to do details. Good luck with your book!

With yours too, Karen! Illustory sounds fun!
Photoshop is wonderful to paint in! Illustrator is different, very time consuming, but also amazing. Combining traditional illustrations with Photoshop and/or illustrator, especially with publishing in mind, can be really fun and interesting! My little book is called The Queen, it's about a little girl who thinks she ought to be Queen. I think it's cute - hopefully some kids, and some parents of young kids, would too! Though the parents might think it encourages insubordination! Hopefully they wouldn't. Breaking into the children's book field was always tough - I was met with lots of rejections - and it hasn't gotten any easier, but now at least it's much easier to present your book in actual book format than it used to be, thanks to Adobe programs. This is helpful, because lots of people, even some editors and some of those who greenlight such things, have very limited visual imaginations, and this way they don't have to stretch.
Morning JB and OHer's, this morning's picture of bikini baby with sunglasses is soooo great! She really has it all and doesn't even know it yet... soooo good!...JB I read your post about iron and anemia and what you needed to do to resolve you situation...and well one time I took 2 chewable iron tablets and my poop turned to absolute concrete... how do you work that?! (Unless too personal and that's ok too)..
QOTD... right now my focus is on walking w/o my walker...and getting my new knee to bend more... I'm also using this time to write a list of home things I want to accomplish, a list of retirement things to add (a little at a time -as per Liz-) and enjoying the sunshine on my face...

Sublingual absorbs differently than chewable and I have had zero bathroom issues using it!

Good morning~ Love the meme -so adorable! JB -You accomplish more in one day than I do in week!! So my arms, shoulders and neck are feeling better, but my low back and sides have gotten worse - it hurts when I do just about anything. I would have called in sick, but movement helps and I'd just be laying around at home. Rob and I were planning a trip to see his dad Saturday - but that is a 10 hour round trip in one day and my back cannot handle that right now... Getting old sucks.
QOTD - Non weight related goals - to curb my out of control shopping (doing well, but I'm no angel) and save as much money as possible so we can move! Looking to buy in more expensive area that is super competitive so we want to be prepared. Anticipating buying a place that needs remodeling/upgrading. Hopefully next year.
Accountability - I'm really overdoing the salt/sodium for the last 3 days and I'm super bloated. I also probably have inflammation all over in general right now so I will be pounding water all day.
19 mo post op - 164.0

Sounds painful, ugh! Feel better Amy! Maybe an Epsom salt bath would help? Epsom baths can be very helpful in relieving body aches. I like to shop, too. In fact, I really like to shop. I need to cut it out too, because plastics are going to be expensive and I need to save. I'm so excited for you about your plans to buy a new house! That will be thrilling! My brother will be selling his in Santa Barbara's Mission Canyon soon. It's small but beautiful, with a spectacular view! But hopefully it will sell sooner, rather than later. Xoxox!

Yes, plastics - me too! CAN'T WAIT! Your brothers house sounds lovely!! We are moving a little north and will miss being so close to SB, but SLO is home to me and I really miss living there!
