I've been spinning pulled sari silk, it is so much fun and the colors are fabulous but it is expensive. I've got multiple fleeces to process, wash and card. Thanks for reminding me, I should do it now since it is warm out and they will dry faster. Something to add to the "Fun" side of my to do list.

Ooh, silk! That sounds absolutely luscious! I haven't tried spinning silk, yet. I spin slowly so a few oz lasts me a while, so I have a huge backlog, haha! I also don't process fleece for the same reason, but it looks like a fun kind of work. I'm hoping to try making some rollags soon, since I recently got a blending board. I've never spun from rollags, so it should be fun!

Good morning. Doing okay, but still need to get a better handle on evening snacks and drink the tea. I'm letting work stress do it to me. But it's not much, just not needed. Last night was a SF pudding with cool whip, so 100 calories at most, but not needed.

QOTD - RUN more than a mile by year end is my goal. I might like to try a holiday 5K around Thanksgiving or Christmas. What have I done? Chiropractor said my best thing to do was to start spinning. I now spin twice a week (doing that for about 3 months now). He also said to do core work - I started with a personal trainer last week to focus on my core. She's great. I'm so weak in areas. My first day I couldn't even stand on one leg for two seconds without touching the other leg. Already making great progress with that stuff, but lots to do.

B - 2 eggs and one sausage

L - 3.5 oz turkey, small salad, .8 oz cheese

S - Quest bar cookies

D - Protein enchilada, small salad

S - Tea

good morning everyone!

I was just telling DH last night how excited I feel for this summer, more so than I have felt in a very long time...we have so many great plans already set up--going to a little carnival in town on Saturday and our town's independence day celebration/fireworks display is actually on my birthday this Friday. Sunday my sister and SIL are coming over and we're taking all the kids to the beach for the day...Taking Story to the Zoo the following weekend with my girlfriend and her daughter...then its my DH's birthday weekend and we always go to the renaissance fair...also our annual Family mini-reunion trip to Galena in August. just so many things coming up and I am looking forward to them all because I know I will not be super uncomfortable and exhausted like I have in the past...and really looking forward to getting dressed up for the ren fair!

QOTD: I have so many non-wls related goals and lots of them involve saving money which is no easy feat as we are basic middle class Americans, living month to month with a Mortgage and car payments, etc. but I am slowly working on it. We depleted most of our savings to cover our insurance deductible this year, paying for both of our surgeries, but hoping next year we can start working on some stuff in the house- we need to re-do our bathroom floors (the grout is coming up) and put in a patio in our back/side yard. I would love to be able to finish the basement but that will probably not happen for a while. I also really want to start a Disney fund so we can plan a trip in a few years before the Magic of it all wears off for Story. Hopefully before she turns 8.

Morning: coffee w/sugar free blueberry syrup and half vanilla PP
B: 1/2 C cottage cheese w/2 chopped up strawberries
L: the last of the turkey chili
D: more leftover stuffed peppers
S: nothing planned for the day yet but if i need one later I'll probably have either cheese and salami or protein pudding w/peanut butter powder

have a fabulous day everyone!

Sounds like you've a wonderful summer ahead! Happy Birthday week to you!

Hi Menu Friends! Happy Wednesday!

JB, Grab every summery moment this week that you can, be fully present in those moments, and enjoy! I know you'll be a wonderful principal come Monday!

Yesterday I went for a long walk on one of the stunning beaches here with my canine pal, Tuffy. She is a black lab, and she loves plunging into the water and swimming! Her next favorite thing is to find some sort of decaying maritime treasure to roll in - the bigger the olfactory insult, the better! She also loves retrieving choice bits of driftwood. Altogether a live-in-the-moment, joyful pup! I love walking with her.

QOTD: My new art scanner arrives today, so one goal is to recover all of the lost illustration files of my labels. By Christmas, I'd like to have designed at least the first dozen product visuals for the next business, and have worked out those basic scents. And I really need to start saving for plastics! I'm buying a new easel - all I have with me right now is is tabletop one, better than nothing, but limited to small canvases. I'm getting one which will hold a 6' or so canvas and I can't wait. Working small is an intricate pleasure, but going really big like that is much more daunting, but growth provoking and ultimately fantastic.

First: 38 ounces of tea, the first of many huge mugs. Yum!

B: I'm craving more shrimp! Yesterday's was really good, but it's all gone. I'll pick up some more this afternoon. So for now, breakfast will be ham with smoked gouda.

L: tuna with a pickle

D: roast beef

AS: shrimp!

Have fun today, my fellow RnYers!

Good Morning Julia and Menu Family!

QOTD: I am working on illustrating a children's book of a silly little story I made up when Saralisa was little. I have a few pages started, but I still have a long ways to go. A little bit at a time.

Accountability: Yesterday: My totals are high because I went to KFC for lunch. Protein - 104, Calories - 1,460, Carbs - 135.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: ham & cheese on 45 calorie bread, light & fit Greek yogurt

D: Healthy Choice turkey meal, light & fit Greek yogurt

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, reduced fat ice cream

E: walking Blossom

Have a GREAT day everyone!
