What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

Do you think it could have been the honey in your tea? I am wary of all sugars right now.

Like you, I haven't chanced any actual sugar or honey as I am trying to avoid what happened last night. There was manuka flavour, but no actual honey in the tea... I had it about an hour or two after the incident figuring it might sooth the rough edges. And it did!
Unfortunately, I actually need to purchase a new jar of Manuka honey as it is cold and flu season here...
Have fun,

Yes #noregrets I loved every minute of 'Julia's death march of Boston' and am thankful I will have a day of normal eating under my belt before I weigh myself. I couldn't find anywhere on MFP where they had 'biscuit as big as your head'
QOTD: the first food I felt guilty about was at a friend's house- about 3-4 months in, and we were having dinner for her husband's birthday. I refused the cake, she gave it to me anyway and saying it's OK... one of my basically supportive friends but a normie... I took three tiny bites.
B: egg whites, Turkey sausage on English muffin
B2: oats mixed in yogurt on ferry
pre- workout Apple/piece of banana and PB
(above was all from hotel breakfast bar for trip home.. hit gym on way home)
Lunch: salad w/Turkey, provolone, sweet potato
Dinner: TBD, hopefully salmon and broccoli
S: protein drink
ex: gym and swimming

Afternoon everyone!
Well, last night's ground beef, which we cooked really gently, and then sort of simmered the rest of the way with the seasoning, was fine. Thank goodness, because taco salad night is a pretty common dinner at my place and I am trying really hard to not need a separate dinner every single night. I know it's only temporary, but with a 3 year old at home, every night that I don't need to cook something separate is great.
QOTD - I'm only a month out and have not had the courage to purposefully have anything off plan yet, but I do have a story that is related to the topic. My very first day home from the hospital, my mother-in-law came over to spend the day to make sure I was okay. She went out to have lunch for herself and I asked her to pick up sugar free popsicles for me. She comes home and I open one up, and it tastes a little too delicious. So I asked - "these are sugar free?" "Oh, no, they didn't have any." I went to the sink and spat it out, and this huge bag of popsicles are still in the freezer now. I love her to bits, but the most critical instruction is the one she just decided wasn't important.
Today is going okay so far, but I have not figured out dinner yet. The rest of the family is having grilled chicken breast, which will probably be a bit too dry for me. I'll probably have an egg poached with salsa and a little cheese.
B - Premier Protein (30g protein)
AM Snack - Shrewd Food baked cheddar crisps (14g protein)
PM Snack - 2 cheese sticks (12g protein)
D - TBD...

Hi all! Happy Tuesday!
I posted earlier, but OH (or my brand-X tablet) vaporized my post before it appeared, so here goes one more time!
Very late last night, I bought myself three pairs of shoes on Zappos. They come tomorrow, so I hope they fit! One is a pair of beautiful black d'Orsay pumps, one is a pair of ankle-strapped pale gold heels with an amusing (to me) Rockettes flair, and finally I also got a pair of cool purple flats. After years of not wearing heels because I was so ponderously heavy on my feet and figured I'd either fall off of them, break them, break my ankles, or sink helplessly into the earth, I am back into them with a vengeance. They really are fun to wear, and I enjoy the altitude!
Later on this week - probably on Saturday - I am going to an herbal conference up here on the island. I've been to many such events in the past 30+ years. It's a three-day event with camping at a gorgeous state park here, but I'm just going to check it out and lucky me I can sleep in my own bed since it's right here in my back yard! Not that I mind camping, I don't. I wanted to vend but they didn't have any more room for vendors by the time I found out about it and tried to register. Should be fun!
QOTD: Sugar is my nemesis. I have terrible self-control when it comes to sweets, and am quite sure that at least 75 pounds of my highest weight was directly attributable to ice cream. I love the stuff, but it so does not return my affection. So I have strictly avoided sweets and in fact have really stayed on the straight and narrow pretty exclusively since surgery, though twice I have eaten too much meat, fish, poutry, or cheese for wisdom or comfort. But as long as I record and track every morsel and weigh myself every morning, such deviations (there have been only a couple) have self-corrected pretty easily, thank goodness. Thankfully, I have never loved bread, potatoes, or pasta to the point of having them trigger binges - that distinction is sugar's and sugar's alone. Anyway, the only non-plan stuff I've put in my mouth over the past year was champagne. I had about a quarter of a flute of champagne on Mother's Day, and on Easter Sunday I also had a couple of sips. Actually, I go to church most Sundays, and always take the host, and have a sip of wine then as well, but I figure hey, that's magic, and not a negative.
First: 38 ounces of tea! The first of many gigantic mugs!
B: Cajun shrimp! I had the fish lady put these into a pouch with some garlic, thyme, and sugar-free (I checked) Cajun seasoning, and a little butter. The sealed pouch went into my Breville oven and 20 minutes later, presto! Really it was quite good!
L: Roast Beef
D: Ham with smoked gouda
S: If I'm still hungry or a little low on protein, I'll have some tuna.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day!
