Good morning! Happy Tuesday! Our OH gang had an awesome day yesterday. We ate BBQ, went to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, rode the Swan Boats, and explored Fanuiel Hall. We ate a ton of seafood and day-drank wine :) I was definitely not a perfect WLS patient yesterday, but what I had in bread and wine, I think we (mostly) walked off with active steps. Its nice to be able to have off days here and there and get right back on the wagon. # noregrets

QOTD: When was the first time you dipped your toe in the water ate something completely off plan after surgery? For me it was a little over a year. I was at goal and had been maintaining already for about 5 or 6 months. I dragged Grim on a shopping trip to the outlets. He found a chocolatier and literally shoved a piece of candy in my mouth.

Okay, I am putting our guests on a plane in a few minutes and I am back to "normal". I hope I can stick to a good plan and drop whatever weight I may have gained over these last few days!

Good morning! I slept in a bit rather than get up and work out this morning, east coast hours are wearing on me a bit!

qotd - I haven't yet, I'm trying to be extremely diligent through the max weight loss period -- plus my crazy travel helps --based on everyone's stories, I'm not trying something new away from Home, lol.

accountability - I had a couple of olives off the cheese plate last night, they were so good, I had to have them Come and get the tray before I ate all the olives!

b - coffee + 1/2 premier X 2

l - Greek yogurt

d - chicken breast with a little chopped salad (tomato, cucumber and cheese)

totals - 576 calories, 87 protein and 21 carbs

have a terrific Tuesday!

Good morning! Super groggy today, but I think it's because it's so overcast this morning. We had storms through the night.

Qotd: well I posted about my ice cream incident at 6 weeks. I knew better, and I was very very sick with dumping. I was adequately shamed and havent touched ice cream since! My next encounter with sweets was just over a week ago, I'd sampled some hand-pulled sal****er taffy on vacation, and it was fine. Probably not a large enough amount to trigger dumping, but I didn't buy any. Other than those incidents, I stay pretty on track since I'm only 4 months out, though I probably eat more vegetables than the average person on here because of the garden.

breakfast: HB egg, 3 chicken sausages

breakfast 2: coffee with Premier

lunch: deli roast beef and cheddar on a lettuce wrap with spicy mustard

And I'll likely stop there as I'm getting a cavity filled this afternoon and will likely have a numb and/or sore mouth. Maybe another protein shake for dinner.

Love that sign! Bread is one of my toughest cravings to resist (also donuts, cakes, pies...).

Today as you know will be gorgeous in Massachusetts and I would LOVE to be enjoying it on a Cape beach, but we have to go to Boston today and Thursday for wrap-up apppintments for DH's cancelled clinical trial. I hope the traffic isn't abominable this afternoon as we aren't done until around 4.

QOTD: I went for my annual visit to Aruba at 2.5 months post-op. I cheated a little bit with tastes of things (breads and desserts), but I still lost weight and didn't have any problem returning to real world eating when I returned. They were VERY small tastes though at that point.

Accountability: I had planned doing 100% AMAW for 2 days, then CAMAW for a few this week. I have done so well on my 2 AMAW days, that I am doing one more and starting CAMAW tomorrow (for another 3 days probably). I was 100% on plan again yesterday and am even doing okay with having only black coffee.

2 Years, 3 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 19 months)

Always lots of coffee...

B: Canadian bacon

L: Deli turkey

D: Shrimp

S: Meat sticks, pork rinds

Sounds like you loved your weekend and your guests also...that is so great. Time really seems to fly by fast sometimes!

QOTD...the first time I went off my eating program was 2004... it was with popcorn...and I love popcorn....as a matter of fact I had some last night...my DH brought a huge bag home from Costco...I ate popcorn instead of a dinner!...I'm not eating any of that stuff today....truthfully I haven't been eating much of anything....medication still making me nauseous...

New nurse took my staples out yesterday afternoon... it was literally her 2nd time removing staples...her supervisor came with her and talked her through it...I talked myself through it(not even remotely on one of my favorite things to do ever) .today the pt comes and we work on getting more bend in the knee (degrees.. at about 70 degrees I/you should be able to walk, at about 90 ' walk up stairs....105' walk down stairs...120 = tap dance?)..I'm at about 80 degrees... it's getting better all the time Yaaaaay.

B 1 hb egg, 1 bacon

hmmm i think it was probably a bite if french fry off my DH's plate. which I found out - I don't really like fries anymore, or potato. one of the most memeorable was when about a year ago decided I HAD to try pinkberry ice cream. with nutella at the bottom- in a cone no less. I almost passed out in the grocery store 2 hours later from RH. it was not fun.

Yesterday we had to put down our beloved Lucy chihuahua. it was really crappy but she kept falling over (couldn't stand up) then had trouble breathing because of her bad heart. she was 15 and it was time. very sad. I made it just in time for yoga after that then lifted some weights and got a gas station coffee and came home.

accountability was ok but I did have a small square of dark chocolate with caramel inside from the yoga teacher. yes, yoga and chocolate!!

food for today:

coffee/protein powder

prot pancakes/ (these are my fiber bombs )

I have this cauli stir fry prepackaged I need to make today, but not sure what else. I did buy ahi tuna steaks frozen for DH to try, he never has.

So sorry to hear about Lucy,Hillary. They become such a part of our families and give so very much totally unconditional love. Know that you did what was best, even though it doesn't make it feel any better. Give the two and yourself some love from Lily and I. So so sorry!

Oh, Hillary, I'm so very sorry about Lucy. I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet. I'm glad she made it to 15. My two previous dogs both made it to 15, as well. Lucy had a good, long, very loved life with you!
