Shrimp is on my list for next week - I have to get some at the store.

I am not really a fan of greek yogurt, but I have it anyway. It's too tangy for me. If I'd thought to, I would have subbed out my sour cream for greek yogurt, though.

I buy plain yogurt and add splenda. Lots of splenda. Takes that tangy away.

I understand the difficulty in finding food that settle well at first. I hope you don't have problems with the beef because many people do until at least several months down the road. I didn't have any problems with fish (some people do) and ate alot of salmon (in packets like tuna) and canned chicken (which is moister). If you can handle them, steamed shrimp are very high in protein and low in calories.

As to fluids, you will find that for most people the "suggested" 64 oz of fluids isn't nearly enough to keep you hydrated and losing weight. I drink at least double that but I had to work up to it.

Also are you not drinking any protein shakes any more? To get enough protein you may need to add at least one a day for several months until your pouch can handle enough dense protein.

The ground beef was mercifully no problem. And no, I'm still doing one shake per day, but today's had spoiled, so I had to make adjustments.

I'm hoping to continue moving the fluid up, but it's a process, for sure.

Fingers crossed about the shrimp!

So glad to have you posting as a fairly new post-op! Coming here really does help. We've all been through, are going through, or about to go through the same thing, and each one of us has intimate knowledge of just what it's like to be obese, MO, or SMO, so the support is amazing. It sounds like you're doing great! Lots of folks stall for a little while at your point, but it passes soon, and the descent continues! Hang in there!

I find that daily posting keeps me connected and focused. Probably more and more the further out I am from surgery.

I am super jealous of the Boston trip!!! You guys look like you're having an amazing time. Super incredibly late post for me today. We moved into our new offices this morning and when I got in, none of the crates that I packed were in my office, so my computer wasn't hooked up. It was a weird feeling this morning. I was very nervous . . . felt like I was starting a new job. Now I at least have a computer, but can't print a damned thing. It's going to be a long week.

JBQOTD: I'm lucky in that I can get to both the mountains and the ocean easily from where I live. But I pick Ocean. I love the smell of sal****er. It's good for the soul.

My plan: I think pioneer days are over, so my menu will be closer to normal. Of course when I walked in this morning, there were boxes and boxes of bagels on the table welcoming us to the new space. Thanks. Luckily I planned ahead and brought breakfast. It's still very tempting and I'm trying to avoid the general area.

B: Bacon

L: Chicken thigh

D: Skirt Steak (If I get home in time to get a replacement tank of propane. If not, ???)

S: Latte and either yogurt and a 1/2 tbs of PB or turkey and a cheese stick before the gym.
