Such a cute suit. And you'll rock it. Although it might be too big by August Vacay!

We had a not so summery solstice yesterday. Freak lightning storm that put the power out at my house. Lightning hit a power pole, and about 4 trees not far from my house. I was about 2 blocks away when the power pole wa**** trying to get gas but they had shut off the pumps, good thing I didn't wait. The torrential rains were good for the garden so I'm not complaining. Welcome to the Pacific Northwest what a difference a day makes, from 92 degrees to 60 degrees and rain. Not sure if it was the weather but I was really restless yesterday. I couldn't focus on anything and work was almost impossible.

Accountability- I had a glass of wine and a 1/4 of a mini strawberry rhubarb pie from Costco. Both of which I should have skipped. Back on track today.

QOTD- Don't usually have the TV on unless I'm watching it. When I read I prefer silence. I do use noise cancelling headphones at work and listen to soothing music to drown out my coworkers sometimes, of course they are all men.

I started a journal to try to figure out what foods bother me, using it with my food log I'm hoping I can figure it out an avoid the problems.

Hi all, happy Friday!

JB, nice highlights! I just had more highlights put in too, but I think they're a bit too bold, especially right on top of my forehead. In fact, I think I will put some color there to moderate the blonde. I'm actually a redhead, but just wanted a little more light around my face. It's hard to find a really good colorist/hairdresser!

Another gorgeous day here! I'm going to take my neighbor's black lab for a long walk around the lake today.

Tomorrow night I'm going to have king salmon at the local country club. They do this once a year. Apparently king salmon, an Alaskan variety, is a rare treat! I'd never heard of it before, but I look forward to an enjoyable evening.

QOTD: I've got the news on. Though it's often bad news these days, I feel it's important to be aware of what's happening. I didn't used to be so politically aware, but I am now.

First: tea! Great big steaming mugs of it! And today I'll also enjoy some coffee!

B: ranch tuna packet and a pickle

L: roast beef, smoked gouda

D: shrimp

s: Greek yogurt with a little Cinnamon Buns protein powder for flavor

Have a beautiful day, my friends!

My pic is from the baseball game we went to last week. My boys lost that night, but the Mariners are out in Boston for a series starting tonight so fingers crossed for a win tonight!

Husband is still in real bad shape, so much so that I might be calling the doctor for him today. I am worried that he is on his way to an ear infection with what he is describing. All I can say is I better not get this nasty thing!!!

Qotd: I always have a show on, I just never watch it. It is usually Top Gear or a cooking show. I like the sound and having something moving near me is calming. I am home alone a lot so tv also just helps fill the time.

Accountability: Calories still came in a little high yesterday but not too bad. And protein was right where it should be. I am still working on increasing the water so hopefully that will help.

BF: 1 egg, 1 slice Dave's killer bread thin powerseed, 1t margarine, 1t sugar free jam

MS: 1/2 oz pork rinds and 1/2 oz rotisserie deli sliced chicken

L: 2oz Siggi's yogurt, 37g Julian's bakery pro granola

AS: 2 homemade protein cookies, 1 babybel

D: real good enchilada (not sure how much but probably half a serving depending on nutrition) 1/4 cup beets, 1T goat cheese

A premier protein pudding with 1/4 cup raspberries at some point.

About 850 calories, 80g protein, 120oz water, vitamins, 30 minutes on the treadmill.

Edited to add picture...duh

Nice seats.

I notice you have bread with breakfast. You are pretty early out.

Personal note. I have a bread problem.

Yep! I do have bread with breakfast, and occasionally I also add crackers later in the day. I don't have a problem with bread products although I do understand the concern! I have 2 reasons for adding these specific carbs in so soon. First I have a hemorrhoid problem, I have to include some fiber in my diet to keep things moving, this is in addition to stool softeners. Right now I can't do liquid fiber supplements because of the way they thicken. The second is energy. Without some carbs my energy tanks and I sleep 14+ hours/day. About 25g good carbs seems to be a minimum for me. I am still way under what my dietitian wants but so far this is working, and what others have said here I think lack of compliance here is okay.

My problem is completely sugar. I am admittedly an addict. The bread and crackers I use have less than 1 gram each. I also have fruit but am super careful to limit that to 1/4 cup and I always eat it with dense protein.
