Good morning~ Happy Thursday! It's so close to the weekend I can taste it and all I can think about is that I get to see my kiddo on Saturday - squeal!!

QOTD - Dr. Seuss - I wish I had Duck Feet and E.B. White - Stuart Little were my favorites when I was little. With my son, I loved reading the Huggly books, 'Parts' and 'More Parts' he would giggle and get so adorably silly! We had so much fun reading together.

Husband is still really sick. I knew it was bad when I went down to the basement to check on him and he had fallen asleep with his video game running. I hope he feels better today. My day is going to be questionable... I meet with a podiatrist about all of my many toe issues. Plus personal training this morning and a trip to Costco.

Qotd: As a nanny I found that the books by Sandra Boynton are amazing. Simple cute illustrations and clever rhymes that kids latch onto. Also, she has a thing for hippos! When I was a kid though, my favorite was the Saggy Baggy Elephant. I don't remember it much now, but it was the book I asked for every night!

Accountability: Calories ended up higher than I wanted. It was because my timing was way off, snacks didn't happen when they should so I was hungrier later. I was super careful though about what went in!

Bf: 1 egg, 1 slice Dave's killer bread thin powerseed, 1t margarine, 1t sugar free jam

MS: babybel, 2 protein cookies (homemade they are still gross)

L: 1 ranch tuna pouch, 3 triscuits

AS: 2oz Siggi's skyr yogurt, 37g Julian bakery pro granola

D: Last 3 meatballs (nooooo they have been so yummy)

A premier protein (only if needed, it wasn't yesterday), definitely have 1/4 cup raspberries though.

Good Morning Julia and Menu Family!

Have so much fun with Mary Ann and Cynthia, Julia!

Our pet pigeon (who is over 20 years old) is in surgery right now having his foot amputated. It's a very risky surgery because he's so tiny and because of his age. Thank you all for your prayers for him.

QOTD: "Good Night Moon" and "Ted Bear's Magic Swing". My mom read us "Black Beauty" when we were kids and I loved that book. "Do you want to play with my balls" is a hilarious NOT for kids "kids book".

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 89, Calories - 1,225, Carbs - 153.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, banana

L: whatever my friend is fixing us for lunch

D: Healthy Choice turkey meal, light & fit Greek yogurt

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

E: walking Blossom

Have a wonderful day everyone!

~ Karen

Pigie made it through the surgery and woke up from the anaesthesia! He was back home by noon! He is doing GREAT! He is using his wing as a crutch to hobble around on the ground and also flapping his wings when he wants to get somewhere instead of walking. He is incredible and amazing and so is the veterinarian who performed the amputation! I am so thankful for all the people who prayed for him and for us!!!

A couple of children's books I forgot about: "Everyone Poops" ... too cute!

And I love Jan Brett's books. Her illustrations are absolutely gorgeous!
