Oh, and where are you staying again (so I can give an idea of your location vs restaurants)? Will you have a car (don't need one - we used cabs for years).

I looked longingly at the protein cake bites at Walmart the other day but left them there. I think I'd overeat because sweets are my kryptonite. That's why I stay away from protein bars--they make me crave the real sweets way too much.

I have sort of a love/hate relationship with sweets. I feel too deprived if I don't have any at all but have to be VERY careful. That's why I send cakes etc. home with people and have not let a donut cross my lips since WLS. But the protein bars are dense enough that I can't have more than one (or one package of cake bites).

Good morning menu friends! Lily and I have our 4 miles done and worked up a sweat even though the sun was barely up. We'll do another mile after supper when it cools down. QOTD I've worn glasses since I was 6 and am needing an eye exam as I think my prescription has changed. Accountability was great even though the urge to snack is pretty much constant with the prednisone. Good news is today is my last day on it. Hopefully once it gets out of my system the munchies will ease up. Post op 5 years 9.5 months and weight at 119 today. Plans today include grocery shopping for our trip Friday and cleaning in the camper to get ready to go. Heres todays food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz deli chicken and cheese 4 baby carrots D 4 oz smoked sausage 1/2 c seasoned butter beans S 5 oz cottage cheese with 1 T no sugar added jam. Have a great day everyone and make your best possible choices too! Off to start the coffeepot.

QOTD: I wore glasses since I'm 5 years old. I had Lasix about 5 years ago. I still need to wear cheaters for reading and probably should get a prescription pair, as my two eyes aren't the same... I like having 20 pairs of glasses hanging around the house. Ha. Since I've always been far sighted it was getting worse as I got older and was considered legally blind without my glasses. I had the Lasix to turn back the hands of time in the eye department. At the time of surgery my script was 20/650.

Saw a post on Keto pizza on IG so got a hankering and it's now on my menu. I don't know about you, but I rarely get a craving for things.

B:coffee latte, overnight oats

L: shrimp on salad

pre-workout: lite English w/peanut butter

D: BBQ chicken pizza on Joseph's flax low carb pita using TJ's lite mozzarella and lite 3 cheese blend

S: protein drink, peach

ex: weight training

Good morning :)

Off for an ultrasound this morning and then pretty much running right to a doctor's appointment. My friends are coming with me to the ultrasound and I'm hoping they will let me sneak in two guests -- they are sisters.

QOTD: I do wear glasses, but I can't stand contacts. Apparently the space between the surface of my eye and the eyelid is small so every time I blink the contact moves. I always try to go for a slightly funky frame - either with colour or design. I also have sunglasses which I love. I get them tinted extra dark.

Post-op three years and three months.

Breakfast - protein bar

Snack - Greek yogurt

Lunch - leftover pork chop

Snack - egg and pickles

Dinner - tbd

Snack - wedding cake (we cut the piece in half lol)

All water and vits.
