Good morning :)

Last night I had a brain fart -- I have to go for fasting blood work this morning and I ate a midnight snack. So now I'm killing time to at least hit 8 hours. I will take a snack with me to eat as soon as I'm done. Then I will be hibernating for the rest of the day. We were out yesterday visiting family that don't really have AC, so I melted a bit. Will drink lots of water today!!

QOTD: I live in Southern Ontario so we don't really have accents per se. I went to a trade show in California with my BFF and grandparents when I was about 18 and we were chatting with some people and they guessed we were from the Midwest based on our accents. We do have some words and phrases that are apparently quite Canadian though. E.g. "I fell ooot of the rollercoaster car." DH has a few more rural idioms as he grew up on a farm a bit north of where we live now.

Post-op three years and three months.

Breakfast - protein bar

Snack - Greek yogurt

Lunch - leftover pork

Snack - PB wrap

Dinner - leftover pork

Snack - wedding cake (yesterday was our one year anniversary)

All water and vits.

Good Morning! JB, on to another project already...you go! Wow, I have missed keeping track of everyone for a few days. I am back to my normal routine this morning and got on here before I starting cycling through all the emails in by inbox. I feel like I was out of work more than 3 days. The weekend was swamped with paint, paint and more paint. Both Saturday and yesterday I had over 30,000 fitbit steps. Things are going well and flooring should start tomorrow so there won't be much to do at the house until later this week/weekend.

Accountability: I haven't been doing horrible but need to cut back on the granola/protein bar/nuts this week.

QOTD: Nope, no accent here.

Time since surgery: 3 years 10 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Krave pork meat stick and Carbmaster cottage cheese

D: Andouille chicken sausage, spinach salad (Bleu cheese, walnuts and Skinnygirl raspberry vinaigrette dressing), banana and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: An hour stair climber this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1248 Protein:112 Carbs:89 Fat:53

Have a great one!

It sounds like you are making great progress on the house. So exciting! My first house was an incredibly tiny Cape, almost like a doll house. I LOVED that house, perhaps because it was our first? We only lived there for 2 years because it was so small but i did love it!

morning everyone!

had a great weekend for father's day- celebrated with my hubby and daughter on Saturday by going to the Beach for a few hours in the morning and then shopping in the afternoon- DH needed some new clothes and we went thrift store shopping for those, also bought him a new Axe that he's been wanting so he can split some big logs we have from a tree they cut down next door.
Yesterday went to my parents' house and spent the day with my siblings and their families- kids "swam" in the little pool my dad got for them (and the men were in there too LOL)...admittedly I did snack quite a bit but nothing bad (veggie tray and cheese/salami) and I did log it all in MFP. was just over 800 cals for the day which is my high end but not terrible.

The A/C was broken when I got to the office this morning and it is pretty miserable here today. I am glad I wore a skirt today but I do wear sweaters to the office most of the time to cover my tattoos so I am quite warm. I really hope they fix it fast.

QOTD: I don't feel like I have an accent but I do notice a very slight difference in the pronunciation of some words, like "legs" or "eggs"- sounds LAYgs or AYggs...I think it's a Chicago thing. But I don't have a severe one. I lived in Iowa til I was 11 years old and my cousins/relatives there do have a very slightly different accent.

Morning: Dunkin iced coffee w/cream and splenda (it's just too hot for hot coffee today!)
B: L&F greek yogurt
L: Leftover spaghetti squash w/turkey italian sausage & parmesan garlic sauce
S: string cheese & turkey meat stick
D: leftover meatball or stuffed chicken breast

Have a fantastic day everyone!

QOTD: I don't feel that I have an accent of any kind. I grew up in coastal south Texas where the Texas twang isn't as common, and have lived in South Carolina for 17 years. If I get mad though-watch out; I go full Texan. I do say y'all and fixin' to, and I always have-and always will.

But since you met me last summer, I'm sure you'd have heard any accent I may or may not have.

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

Good morning all! Happy Monday!

JB, I'm impressed! First the new floors, now a new picture window?! HGTV needs you guys!

It was a gorgeous, perfectly summery Father's Day here in the PNW. Happy belated Father's Day to all of the dads here! Being a dad is such an incredibly important job! I hope your day was lovely and heartwarming. I miss my own dad so much!

QOTD: I have a tendency to linguistically mirror those around me, providing I find some charm in their accents. I can very easily slide into mirroring when having a phone conversation with someone with a pronounced accent, for instance, or when traveling. But otherwise I think I'm fairly accent free (within the context of an overall American accent, or course). My parents had central European accents. Had we remained in upstate NY instead of moving to NJ when I was 5, I would undoubtedly have that region's distinctive, flat-vowelled accent. Had we moved to a more typical, less snooty NJ town, I might have developed more of a classic Jersey accent. As it was, I didn't. Aside from Valley-girl speak, which I occasionally encounter, I find Californians (and the entire West coast) to be quite free of any noticeable regional accent, unlike the Midwest, the South, and NJ/NY. But I am not Henry Higgins, who would probably distinguish all sorts of subtleties which I overlook. I've lived in many different parts of the country, but I don't think I've an accent - although, as I said, I can easily mirror one.

First: two gigantic mugs of tea!

B: roast beef

L: tuna, smoked gouda, a little pickle

D: eggs

Have a wonderful day, my friends!

QOTD - I didn't think I had an accent but when I moved from MA to CA everyone said I did. My family in friends that still live there definitely do!! I don't have an accent any more, but at any given moment I can bust out a Boston, New York or British accent.

b- coffee x2, 2 HB eggs

l-smoked turkey, spring mix, blue cheese, tomato, evoo/bal vinegar dressing
