Mornin' All!
Ugh - feeling really bloated again this morning. For one thing, I've got some backup issues going on - for another, I had two tacos yesterday at lunch, and then TJ's Grilled Jerk Chicken Thigh Skewers for dinner. Both really good, but OMG - salt city. I forgot to tell you guys that I had a bunch of blood tests run a week or so ago because I had some dizziness/nausea going on, and my sodium level was high (not causing the dizziness, but still, it was high). Not sure what it is with me and salt, but ...ugh.
I'm speaking to a pre-op class again later this morning. I'll probably work from a coffee shop beforehand and then take the afternoon off. DH is off all day. I know he was planning to work out in the yard all day, but it's supposed to rain. Boo. Hot and humid weekend coming up...
QOTD: Either - but if I had to choose, I'd take crunchy.
3 years out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder and strawberries
MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein shake
L: I might go out with my co-presenter today (they try to schedule two of us - and it often works out!). If so, we're going to a low-carb cafe. If not, I'll come home and have chicken salad
D: boy - I have not even thought of this. I picked up a couple of those Birds Eye frozen "pasta" dishes last night (the "pasta" being made out of lentils and vegetables). White Dove was talking about them on another thread a week or so ago. So maybe I'll split one of those with DH. Otherwise, I have turkey patties and lots of meatballs in my freezer.
ex: yes - I must. Other than yoga, I haven't exercised in awhile. Aqua Zumba is not meeting again until July (so two more weeks!), but still, that is no excuse to do *no* exercise!
this is me from a couple of weeks ago. We had to ditch our old car because it had so many things that needed to be repaired - not financially feasible for a 17-year-old car. DH took a few pics of me with the old car (shown here) and the new one. I look awful in this picture, but it's the only recent one where I'm not standing in a group

Have fun at the group presentation; it's so great that you do that!

I really enjoy doing it - I'm glad they keep asking me to come back! I told them I'm up for doing even more stuff after I retire in two weeks - whatever they can think of - mentoring people, visiting people in the hospital, whatever. I love being involved with bariatric patients, and also, I think doing it helps keep me focused on my own weight!!

That would be awesome!!

I admire you for doing it.
I presented only once and I'd love to go back and doing it again. I totally agree that being in that environment and helping out with pre-op patients makes us being more focused.

I'd love to speak at one of my Surgeon's seminars at some point too...being asked to do it would be super flattering, like "you're a wonderful example- now go show other people how it's done!" LOL
