Happy Friday everyone!

I am so impressed with all the photos! You all look wonderful!

QOTD: Both. We keep a jar of each from a local company. My son prefers smooth and My hubby and I will eat either one.

It has been a bit busy here... Trying to get the new house sorted before we can move in. Floors are in process, but the bathroom needs to be ripped out before we can sort it out totally.

I had a follow up with the mental health professional that we see here for WLS and Kurt had a Fracture Clinic follow up for his broken hand in Thursday. I drove (1.5 hours each way) and it was a bit of an over-do... I was exhausted! And all of the stress of going to a new location for fracture clinic for Kurt caused a huge tic meltdown resulting in no school on Friday for him.

Foodwise I am on track and doing better with the liquids.

B: yoghurt (with a teaspoon of PB2), protein water, decaf coffee

L: refried beans with sprinkle of Mexican spice, protein water

D: ricotta bake, decaf tea

S: plain yoghurt

water and vitamins all on track

Photos are of a couple from the new house and a couple of my favourite quilts that went to new homes and I miss them...

Have fun,

Yes! I really love making quilts. These ones I quilted first then used various inks and paints to do the colours! They are all original designs...

the little dragon profile is called "Mummy Without Coffee"

the larger is "Mummy Without Coffee: Take 2"

Oh my gosh, your quilts are amazing!! Sounds like you are very busy right now with the new house, but curious if you take commissions (in the future)?

I do occasionally take commissions... but I usually create and people just like them and purchase.

Happy Friday, menu pals!

JB, that photo of you is way too cute! It really is strange, how profoundly our heads can mess with us when looking at our bodies, appearance, and weight. So take it from me: you are adorable!

I was up all night working and ,then spent hours on the phone with DHL this morning trying to schedule a shipment to Hong Kong. Got through their interminable form (here on the island my internet service is terrible), paid, then had their site glitch out and everything I'd done simply vanished with no trace - except my account was charged. Did it twice and the same thing happened! It was on their end, not mine, grrrrr! My funds are tied up until the charges drop off. Finally I had enough and decided to attack it again on Monday, and went to sleep for a few hours.

Today I'm up 2.5 pounds although my intake yesterday was fine, 625 calories, 68 grams of protein, 13 grams of carbs. Tons of tea - I was drinking big mugs of the stuff all through the night. Sodium was a bit high, but shouldn't have been enough for a gain. Also, I was a little hungry last night, which usually means I will see a drop in the scale the next morning. But not this time! Oh well! Just one of those temporary things. Onward!

I just tried on a couple of pairs of very beautiful boots to see if they would fit - last time I tried them on, I could get them on with effort, but they were so tight they fit like tourniquets! Today they slid right up. They are over-the-knee, just a bit, and very pretty. So they fit my calves fine, but they aren't comfortable at the top when I sit. I couldn't figure out why until I saw that my thighs are too weird now, not tight enough and kind of in the way! :( God only knows how I'm going to tighten them up. I hope I can without surgery! Walking like crazy here!

My brother had hip replacement surgery this morning. My SIL texted that all went well and he's in recovery, thank God. He is young for this type of surgery, but was experiencing excruciating pain for a while there, and the slides showed bone on bone. He figured better to deal with the surgery now than wait until he is older, less resilient, and even more sore. He has never been obese, it was just one of those unfortunate things. But his new hip should last for 20-25 years, so that's good!

QOTD: I've abused the odd jar of peanut butter here and there (usually by adding honey and plowing through it all with a spoon), but it's never really been a big favorite of mine. I didn't care for PBJ sandwiches as a kid - give me tuna any day! But when I did have PB, I preferred smooth to crunchy.

First: two huge mugs of tea

B: roast beef

L: ham with smoked gouda

D: roast beef

S: maybe a hard boiled egg

Have a lovely Friday!
