What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?

Long week doesn't even begin to describe it for me, but we made it to Friday! Yesterday was another unexpectedly long day in the floor laying saga and we are now even further behind. We had a total of 6 doorways to cut around and all that measuring and little cuts took forever. On top of it, poor Grim is with the three most incompetent helpers, ever (me and my parents), so he really has to do anything that requires skill or strength by himself. But last night around 11pm when we were driving home we had this brilliant idea of NOT trying to cram it all into the next few days! I think we will try to work hard today, then take the weekend OFF and then get back to it on Monday when we are rested.

Accountability: Ok, I was not nearly as weirdly hungry as the day before so I kept it light for the morning, but then mom came back with pizza and I definitely indulged. So calories wise, I actually ended up lower than planned, but obviously my carbs were through the roof. Whatever... ugh. I need to get back to work. I NEED a routine!

QOTD: What band from your teen years do you still crank up when it comes on the radio? We've had the stereo blaring over the last few days so I have been singing a lot! But tomorrow night I am seeing Depeche Mode in concert! I haven't seen them since a tour in the late 80s and I am so excited :)

Pics today are more progress on the floors:

Hey, has anyone tried the new Chicken Chorizo Tortilla Starbucks EggBites???? They are on the menu this morning, woot! I will report back :) Not going to lie: I feel like this menu is largely fantasy... It is so hard to know what the day will really look like, but this is a stab at a menu with a little higher carb count to account for one more very physical day.

Sadly I haven?t mastered the art of photo posting. Today is my 4 month surgi-verrsery and definitely still in the honeymoon period with all the odd fights and great make ups that entails.

I will still crank up REO and Journey as they are my singalong bands of my youth.

Accountability has been ok but I can feel some of my old bad habits sneaking back in so I need to get on top of them.

Keep at it! As for adding a pic. The way I do it: (before I post a reply to the thread) at the top upper right of the screen next to your username is a pink +, click that and select upload photo. Select photo (mine is usually from on phone) and save. Then when replying on the thread in the upper let corner of the box your typing in is an add photo "button". Hope that helps.

All of our financial reps that we process business for are at a national conference, which means incoming business has been slow for us and I've been doing a lot of account research requests. I actually like playing detective and doing the researching part of my job, but pouring over charts of account transactions and trades, and looking at spreadsheets really gave me a headache yesterday. But that could have been in part because my mouth was also still sore (better today!)

JB, those floors look fantastic! Mine next, ok??

Qotd: I still love Savage Garden, and crank it up when I'm at the gym! OH I WANT YOU I DONT KNOW IF I NEED YOU BUT OH ID DIE TO FIND OUT!

Menu: I've noticed that I get terrible head hunger and munchies about an hour or so before my normal lunch break, so I'm going to try having a solid snack or second breakfast after my coffee when my pouch has woken up a little more and see if it helps.

breakfast: coffee and Premier

breakfast 2: Just Crack an Egg bowl

lunch: last of the salsa chicken

dinner: I'll be out but not sure where we're going yet. My cousin eats like a bird, and will likely be fine with sharing something with me.

photos: just some garden stuff! For some reason I can't eat them to appear at the bottom of my post and I'm tired of trying to fix it!

Your garden looks amazing. Are the purple flowers scarlet runner beans or something else?

A few months out from surgery, I really had to add in some snacks to keep from getting too hungry at meals. I usually had some dense protein like 1-2 oz of turkey breast and that definitely did the trick. I could eat smaller portions across the board.

They are "Royalty purple pod" bush beans :) they'll turn green when I cook them. They're so pretty and easy to pick amidst all the green! I might do a purple pea variety next summer, I'm having a really hard time finding my pea pods lol

I think I might adjust my eating to more frequent small meals. I have been having an evening snack of yogurt to get the rest of my protein in. I don't think it's physical hunger I'm experiencing at this point, because it's cravings for specific things...mostly my old favorite salty crunchy things like chips and popcorn. Maybe I'll pack a few pickles today :P
