What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning Julia and Menu Family!
WOW! The floor looks FANTASTIC! I wish you would come and do my floors! LOL!
QOTD: I've had at least 15 surgeries (I lose count), but I think having Saralisa was the most pain I can remember. I asked for an epidural but by the time the anaesthesiologist got there it was too late so I delivered her with no pain meds. She was a somewhat difficult birth, with the cord around her neck. The other severe pain I can remember is I had fallen on my knee and thought it was just bruised and I walked around on it for a few months. Then one day the knee cap suddenly snapped into two pieces and I fell to the ground! I remember looking at my knee and I could see one half of the knee cap against the lower leg bone and the top half of the knee cap against the femur and just a valley where the knee cap used to be. I had to have Saralisa (who was little then) call the ambulance to come and get me.

Good morning menu crew! I will be on vacation for the rest of the week, so just popping in today. JB the floors do look absolutely stunning!
QOTD- I've been very fortunate to have never broken any bones, and have never had any other severe injuries. I'd have to say that child birth is the most pain. I was scared of epidurals so 3 natural births. But fortunately they were quick. A total of 11.5 hours of labour over 3 deliveries.
Exciting news for me - a few weeks ago, my friend at work approached me- he knows that I was really unhappy with my neck since weight loss- to be honest it bothers me more than any other part of my body even though there are areas that look worse. His brother works for a plastic surgeon and they were looking for a demo patient. Anyway, I was selected and 2 weeks later I was in Michigan. The plastic surgeon was doing a conference for Cynosure so they were demoing all the different laser equipment. While I was interested only in the smart lipo and fractional CO2 laser for my neck, it was an all or nothing kind of deal, so for 2 days, I got all the treatments! Hair removal, Sculptsure to my stomach, IPL and pico for fine lines and age spots on my face, and then the smart lipo and laser to my neck. It's not perfect but it is a big improvement. The aesethetician told me they will do further treatments as well. Oh, and they also did botox and fillers. I don't know if I'd ever pay to have the botox and fillers, but it definitely helped to fill out some of the sagginess in my face. My neck isn't quite healed yet but just about. Anyway, it was lovely to be pampered all weekend and I feel very grateful to have had the opportunity.
Menu today:
Shake for breakfast
Lunch to be determined - have to check the menu at work.
Dinner leftover pork ribs from last night.
The next few days I will be at our church convention so there will be lots of healthy food options and lots of walking. I'm not cleared for exercise until next week, and will be starting a new Beachbody program then.
I really need to do CAMAW- so maybe I will start that on Monday.
Oh I also had a great NSV- I was going through customs at the airport on my way to Michigan. I had the sweetest customs officer ever. She looked at my passport picture and then at me, congratulated me on my weightloss- and kindly suggested that I update my passport picture. It expires in 2 years anyway so I probably won't bother but she was so kind and it really made my day.
The bottom pics are the before- I hope it's obvious but I don't know. And there is still some swelling and redness.
