Sending prayers, Yvonne. I know how awful Depression can be. At my worst times I pictured myself on a roller coaster and just HUNG ON. Hang on! It will get better!

Hello my menu friends! Happy Tuesday!

Another gloriously cool sunny day up here in the gorgeous PNW! I've been really into walking and am definitely seeing an ongoing improvement in my strength and stamina. No more huffing and puffing as I climb hills! it's funny, the more I walk, the more I want to walk. It just feels so good! I walked outside yesterday with my neighbor's dog, and ran into a friend. We walked together for a while, and I really noticed how much of an easier time I was having of it than she was. This time last year I would have never been able to walk far at all even on level ground. It is shocking to me to reflect back on how unwell i really was, how easily exhausted I was. What an enormous distance i have travelled towards health and vitality since then! I am so incredibly grateful!

Qotd: I can't really think of any!

First: two huge mugs of herbal tea

B: ham and smoked gouda

L: tuna

D: beef tips

S: a little roast beast!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Thank you! I loved living on California's central coast - it truly is paradise! But up here it's so much greener, gorgeous in a different way. I love them both! And yes, I feel good. I'm happy to recognize myself in the mirror again even though I have 50+ pounds yet to lose. I'm happy to be beginning to fit into beautiful clothing, instead of just whatever few items would fit. I made a decision to be more social than I'd been, and I have been, and it's been great! And walking around the lake here, up and down hills, and on the beaches has been invigorating and wonderful. Life is such a gift!

I didn't mean to sound impossibly Pollyanna-ish, and apologize if I came off as being nauseatingly sunny and chirpy. I've had some terribly down times too, and lived through various disasters, physical attacks, and worse, too. But overall I tend to be buoyant in spite of those times and experiences. It's not my doing really, more just how I was made. I thank goodness for that, or I probably wouldn't have lasted to be here now.

As you can tell from my double post I'm still a bit of a computer/kindle neophyte! Someone on here has a -happiness is a choice- name.... happiness (aka sunny and chirpy) is a good choice...
