I have seen Chuys and Zaxbys by my folks in Florida and wondered about them. I will have to try them

I almost always have almonds and/or cashews in my purse and apple juice in juice boxes in my car because I have mild hypoglycemia (regular, nor reactive) and my blood sugar can drop quickly.

For non-urgent feedings, though, if I'm out and about but don't have time for a sit-down meal... Wendy's chili is my favorite, but SO many places now have grilled chicken sandwiches that you can eat without the bun that I never have trouble finding somewhere for one of those. I have also been known to order a McD's EggMcMuffin without the cheese (on the all day breakfast menu) and just eat the egg and Canadian bacon... or eat a Taco Bell taco with a fork instead of eating the shell...

Wendy's chili worked the first couple of years but now it doesn't fill me up at all.

McDonald's side order scrambled eggs. Under 2 bucks. Perfect.

Deli. Pick up lunch meat. Or stop at Jimmy John's for an unwich.

Jerky is at every gas station.

I never stress as it gets easier as you get used to finding stuff. Though I plan ahead usually and have a Caveman primal chicken bar with me when on a road trip or out and about.

They are really great. Perfect profile and highly transportable. My fav is the hickory chicken bacon. But all are pretty good. Sign up at Caveman.com for emails. They have sales once a quarter. I stock up at those times.

I just found these bars. I absolutely love them. Normal protein bars are OK, but sometimes I'm sick of eating something sweet. I'm in love with the smoked jalapeno ones. The blueberry pepper though, I can barely choke down. Blueberry is not a fruit I would mix with pepper, or meat.

I am still afraid of fast food places. I always have Tillamook slab jerky cut into little strips, cheese sticks, chocorite 100 calorie bars, and greek yogurt when I leave for a day trip.

I have had the Starbucks egg white feta spinach wrap. Not too many calories, half will fill me up and I save the other half for another meal. We have Chipotle here in Washingon and you can get a bowl with whatever you like... meat, beans, cheese, lettuce and guacamole is a perfect lunch or dinner.

Oh, and I do love my coffee ;)

Rerouting your body seems to lead to a big coffee love.
