These are pretty. Back in the 70's my mom worked at a place that did data entry with key punch cards, if you know what those are.. So all the old ones she would being home and she made wreaths out of them too. She would spray paint them and I thought they were beautiful.

No I don't have any pics, but basically they were made like this: the key punch cards were rectangle and she would staple one end together to form a peak. Then using a cardboard circle she would start stapling the cards around the circle. With the points facing outward, staple aide down. When it was all done, she'd then spray paint it.

Good morning!

I found out that a video of the bike incident plus a screen shot of the license plate isn't enough for the cops to do anything about my little run-in the other day. Apparently I had to get the driver in the shot so they could prove who was actually driving. That's BS. So basically I have to go through the windshield and ask them to say cheese before I die for it to be something they can work with. I'm so beyond disgusted right now, I can't describe it. I might just go back to walking for the time being, maybe try a jog. Very disappointing and frustrating to say the least. I did contact a local politician about introducing protection laws akin to the photo radar and red-light cameras already in use. I will pursue this.

The menu I'm really (probably more than I need to be) excited about today. Breakfast was my usual coffee/protein bar and it was rockin. Man I love that combo.

MS/AS is 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese with 10 slices of cucumber chopped up in it. Lunch is why I'm really pumped. A chicken breast from the bbq, cut up on a salad with romaine, cauliflower, broccoli, and cucumber.

I remember when I used to get excited about cool things. Somewhere along the line, cool things changed.

Last night my wife and I finished painting the living room, hall and dining room and it looks great. Next up is the carpet, but we have a lot of other stuff on the go before that happens. Tonight we are having a date night, followed by a late night of tool sorting for me as I tackle the garage. Tomorrow is a yard sale day so I have to get this done. It's always super busy and absolutely draining for me, because I'm the guy that typically gets up at the butt crack of dawn to set up tables and start hauling our treasures out. Then I go for coffee and put up signs. She prices everything while I do my best to just linger around and answer questions, help load big stuff and occupy the kids. They're running their own tables this year so this ought to be a sight to behold.

Sunday I am drumming in church and then hopefully a whole lot of nothing.

I'm feeing very blue today, as it's the three year anniversary of the day one of my best friends was murdered for no apparent reason. There have been no suspects and no arrests, but we are still hoping someone will come forward with anything that might lead to justice. Three years later, however, it's extremely unlikely, and it weighs really heavily on me that her life was brutally and violently taken in what seems to be a senseless act of violence.

Breakfast: tried the cookies and cream Premier. Eh. I'm not a chocolate person to begin with but I usually like cookies and cream things.

Lunch: 3 turkey meatballs with 1/2 C marinara and a sprinkle of Parmesan

dinner: unsure. I have salad fixings and some rotisserie chicken at home, I'll likely fix up a chicken salad.
