Good morning my friends! Happy Friday-eve! I am up early and getting ready to leave the house soon. I've got a super busy day ahead! We are knee deep in home renovations at both our house and mom's house and there is a lot of running around to do.

It happened! I got a job offer yesterday that I am very likely to take. You guys aren't actually going to believe it... but that DREAM job I have been saying I want is actually with my old company! They acknowledged that they are taking too long to make it happen and don't want to lose me while it is in limbo, so they literally just hired me back into my old position for now. That way they can be assured that I will be in place if that position really does open in July (it will). But if for some reason it doesn't, I will step in as a maternity coverage next year for a principal at a different school for the majority of the school year. Win-win. I'm still following through with some other interviews that are in the pipeline, but I would surprise myself if I don't go with this one. I really loved my job and my employer and I was so sad to leave. I feel like this is the best possible outcome :)

QOTD: What was your favorite fad/trend from your youth? I am almost 44year old, and I was such an 80s kid. I loved all things fluorescent and bright. I loved wearing ripped off-the-shoulder sweatshirts, leg warmers, jelly shoes, jelly bracelets, and giant bangs. I have said this before, but really... my goal in life was to be mistaken for Madonna, circa 1983 :) It cracks me up to see a fad comes back and little kids are emulating it. A few weeks ago I saw an 8 year girl with one white lace glove, hightops, and a pink flourescent top and I giggled a little.

Yeah for the dream job!

I remember when we got to wear pants to school. The late 70's were not a fashion forward time. I did love me some corduroy pants.

I have chicken, pork jerky, yogurt, cold brew, and strawberries. I need to spend some time at the DMV today.

Again...congrats on your big news!!

Good Morning Julia and Menu Family!

CONGRATULATIONS Julia on the job! I'm so glad it turned out to be a happy outcome!

I get to go horseback riding today!

QOTD: I was in high school in the 70's so we wore bell bottom jeans and halter tops. CB radios were a big craze at that time and all of us kids had them in our cars. We would drive around and talk to each other on the CB radios. We all had handles (nicknames). Mine was Misty.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 90, Calories - 1,385, Carbs - 133.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, banana

L: ham & cheese on 45 calorie bread, broccoli salad

D: Healthy Choice turkey meal

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, broccoli salad

E: horseback riding

Have a GREAT day everyone!
