What's on you Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
You know that is a good question! I know my SIL definitely does compensate, but she never really eats a lot even on a big day for her. My DH can eat like a horse when there is a lot of food around, but in general on regular days he never snacks and doesn't eat much in total adding his meals together.

I really believe that naturally skinny/normal people have this internal "thinga-majig" that makes them regulate their intake in the long run. Before WLS I went to a mindful eating therapist. She kept insisting on this internal "guy/gal" that regulates and I need to nurture her. After about 6 months I told her I think I have killed my internal guy and she will never come back. LOL

Good morning everyone! The countdown is on for my son's graduation next weekend. I am deep cleaning today and shampooing the carpet in my room. I am feeling really emotional, but I am trying to be present and enjoy this milestone. I will be seeing a lot of people at graduation that I haven't seen since losing my weight. In the back of my mind, I am feeling uncomfortable about it.
Accountability- I find myself wanting to snack a lot. I am approx 1.5 years out and I really need to lose another 25 lbs. I see my surgeon Nov 7. I can do this!! NO SNACKING!! I must focus on protein and stay away from those darn pretzel thins!!!
QOTD- I don't use a mop. I have always washed my floors by hand. Also, I don't use electronics to read books. I love the smell of a paper book. I still write checks and I hang my sheets out on the clothesline to dry in the summer. I also make all our food from scratch. I don't use mixes or boxed food.
My plan for today-
B- 2 eggs scrambled.
L-tuna salad, lots of pickles
D-I am making a roast today, so I will eat that.
Not sure what else, but I will really push my fluids and get my vitamins in. Have a great everyone and be kind to yourself.
Ooo, the clothesline is a good one... We are actually in the process of putting one up in our backyard. They are super rare in our town. We are just trying to figure out the best line in our yard so people don't catch their head on it ;) I usually dry things hanging in our basement (it is thankfully nice and dry for doing this), but we want to be able to hang dry and sun bleach some things.
Pretzel thins do me in if in the house. I have to remove those kind of snacks to be safe. I'm lucky that it is just me and DH and he isn't a huge snacker. I do get him cookies but get ones that don't call to me. Snacks are my downfall too (I'm always good at meals because I have protein first and fill up).

Hi menu folks! Today is 30 Days of post RNY! My pills are changing a bit, adding vitamins, continuing stage 3 for another week. I am still surprised by how well I am doing! No real cravings for anything at all. It is like, at this point at least, my sweet tooth understands that something has changed.
Qotd: Well this is a tough question for me! There is not much I do the old fashioned way really, even in my sewing room. Being married to a video game programmer our whole house is automated and everything is on computers, phones or tablets. I suppose baking and cooking might be the closest to old fashioned that I get. I much prefer to do everything from scratch rather than mixes.... although my kitchen is full of gadgets...
Accountability: came in a tiny bit low on calories and my water was back down to 60 oz. But I was at a friends house all day, so I think given that I was okay.
BF: 1 egg, 3" mashed banana, 1/3 serving cream of wheat
MS: savory cottage cheese
L: 1.5 oz deli sliced chicken, 1T cauliflower hummus, 1/2 cheese stick
AS: 1/2 serving seafood snacker stick (new food)
D: 2oz canned chicken, 1t miracle whip
A premier protein pudding
About 650 calories, 70g protein
It's a small pack of 4 little sticks of seafood. I stumbled on it at QFC. It has 80 calories, 6g of protein, and 3g sugar per pack. I had 1/2 for a serving. They were -very- reminiscent of the artificial crab that comes in pouches. I meant to get a picture of the label for you but I forgot and threw it away! :-( sorry! They are by a company called Trans-ocean.
I just found this online - intriguing (but a fair amount of sodium - I'm watching that lately):
