Different menu
I am 3 months post op and I'm still tired is it something I'm eating or not. I need a better menu any options? I'm down 50 lbs
25 G protein shake
egg and cheese
15g protein shake
chicken
Vitamins? And how much dense protein are you able to eat?
Im just over 3 months myself and more or less the same weight loss since surgery as you I think. I'm able to eat about 3-4 oz of dense protein plus a little bit of veggie. I don't really have an answer for you about feeling tired, but maybe see if you can have labs drawn early? My surgeon isn't drawing mine til 6 months

Are you taking an iron supplement? If you're exhausted, you may be iron-deficient.

I have yet to see a multivitamin that has adequate calcium for a WLS patient. I would definitely suggest getting some separate pills. Make sure to take them at least 2 hours before or after your multi and/or calcium supplement, since taking them at the same time can cause absorption problems.

Most multivits have the cheapest, least absorbable iron available (same with calcium) and it often less than the usual 100%RDA level at that so we often need to supplement beyond that until we can get enough from food (if we can); further, your RNY malabsorbs minerals, so you should probably be having more than just the multivit for iron.
Dietwise, our diets are typically low carbohydrate to one degree or another, and some intentionally go overboard on that as well, but it's not unusual to have problems getting enough energy out of our stored fat. Try adding some veg to the mix if you can.
