Ugh maintenance is a bear. I basically found that now that I am at goal, staying there means even FEWER calories than when I was losing... presumably because I don't have any of the benefits from malabsorption anymore? I have crept up a little higher than is on my ticker (I should update that!) but I am still at goal...just not where I want to be anymore. I find that I aim for around 800 calories but end up somewhere a little higher, generally. But I consider it a "bad" day if I went over 1000. But again, I am under 5', so... probably not typical for most people!

Morning all! Just doing a drive by and will come back and read later on.

I am back at my home office doing several hours of telework trying to catch up on emails and put out a few "fires" remotely. I slept in about an hour rather than starting as early as usual but now I am up to my armpits in it!

Weight is down since surgery even though I still have swelling and haven't been exercising like usual, so I'm happy about that. Trying to keep my protein high as my appetite returns to help the healing.

Menu:

Breakfast: ham

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, strawberries, cashews

Lunch: Not sure whether I am eating at home or going out for lunch. If I'm at home, I will have more Arby's roast beef and baby carrots

Snack: protein shake w/ iced coffee, almonds

Dinner: shrimp

Exercise: a few blocks of walking

HW: 248+, SW (RNY: 2/28/17): 244, GW (10/17): 125; LW: 115; 45# regain (19-20); CW: 135.6; new goal: 135; Plastics: Ext mastopexy, Ext abdominoplasty-5/18/2018; diagnosed w/ gastroparesis 11/20.

Good morning :)

Not too much happening today. I have an appointment at the bank and I will pop over to the grocery store next to it. It's a nicer store but the prices are higher so I don't go there very often. It's supposed to be slightly cooler than yesterday so I might take the puppies out as well.

QOTD: I prefer to have about 30-60 minutes to get ready before I leave. It also depends if I need to wash my hair -- I can't wa**** every day. I like having a little extra time to make my lunch and watch the news. I also need more time since getting our dogs since they need to be fed and taken outside.

Post-op three years, two months.

Breakfast - protein shake - trying a new powder. Wish me luck lol.

Snack - homemade muffin and egg

Lunch - salad and something TBD

Snack - Greek yogurt

Dinner - chicken and veggies

Snack - pudding

All water and vits.

Good Morning Julia and Menu Family!

QOTD: Now that I'm retired and don't have to be anywhere in the mornings I tend to wake up around 6 am for some odd reason. (Sometimes it's the dogs licking my face). B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, banana

L: ham & cheese on 45 calorie bread

Good Morning! JB, I will have to go back and read yesterday's thread to see what interview you had-sounds exciting! I was going to pop on yesterday to post but stayed too busy. We had a very productive weekend and got tons of Spring cleaning done and luckily it's our annual curbside pick up this week so we were able to toss a bunch of stuff.

Accountability: I was on point yesterday.

QOTD: About an hour before. Mon-Fri I get dressed at the gym but put my make-up on before- yeah I know, it's strange but it works.

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: P3 pack and Carbmaster yogurt

D: Apple chicken burger, spinach salad (Bleu cheese, walnuts and Skinnygirl raspberry vinaigrette dressing) and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal

I think I wear the wrong kind of makeup. It says waterproof, but it runs down my face when I sweat!

I have perfected the "dab" with my towel. I use all different make-up (urban decay for eye shadow and blush, l'oreal foundation, cover girl pressed powder) and all I end up re-applying after my workout is the pressed powder.

Good morning,

Yesterday was an adventure. The restaurant we went to only had a drive thru open due to construction inside and I must of picked up a nail and got a flat tire. I called AAA to come and change it I only had a donut tire. They didn't have a Discount Tire place where we were so ended up at Walmart auto center to see if they could fix my tire. They couldn't so my friend paid for a new tire. Got 20 miles from Grand Rapids some guy was stopping and going in the passing lane. He moved over and when I got by him, he took off bat out hell and was swerving in all the lanes, cutting people off. It was scary. Made it home in one piece.

Qotd I prefer 2-3 hours to wake up and have coffee and do my ritual of posting here, Facebook and maybe play a few games. But I can get up and be out the door in 20 minutes.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna, cottage cheese and kale salad

D spaghetti meat sauce and zoodles and strawberries sweetened with Splenda and whipped cream

Have a good day
