Good morning! *Edit... I am back with my menu. See below!
Yesterday's job interview was a smashing success! More details to come soon. I hope you all had a wonderful day off, too!
QOTD: How long do you give yourself between when the alarm goes off and when you leave the house? Grim and I are so different on this. I give myself 2 - 3 hours. Some of it is to get ready--shower choose an outfit and do my hair and makeup... but a lot of the time is just to watch the news, write this post and generally be awake and ready to face the day. Grim rolls out of bed about 10 minutes before he needs to be anywhere. Men!
Exercise: Peachpie inspired me to run a mile-a-day challenge, so I will do that this morning :)
Good morning! Congrats on the successful interview, JB! Is it something you'd like as much or more than the job you were waiting for?
i woke up really stiff and sore this morning, but I've been working hard at the gym and doing a lot of physical activity all weekend, so I might give myself a rest day today.
Qotd: I give myself about an hour and a half. I get up at 5, need to leave the house at 6:30 so I can be at work by 7. I don't work too far from my house. That gives me time to shower and do something with my hair. I don't wear makeup, usually, only because I work in a cubicle and don't face the general public. I get dressed, put my lunch together in my lunch bag, pack my gym clothes, and put the door. My husband is the same, he gets up maybe 20 mins before he has to leave.

Good morning JB and Menu crew! Getting closer to that job you seek! Good luck!
Had a good weekend, the weather did not always cooperate but was nice and relaxing. Glad to be back at it today. I have an eye Dr appointment tomorrow morning, it looks as though I will finally cave in and get some readers.
QOTD - our alarm goes off at 5:30 and Joddie gets up at that time, lets the dog out of Ryleys room and she gets in bed with me and snuggles for an hour or so. I make our lunches the night before so all we do is load our lunch bags in the morning, not much of a rush for me and I only have a 1.5 mile drive to work.

Good morning! Menu is pretty well the same as it is every day, though I did add a couple of meat sticks because they're drying out a little too much. I like them like that, but they're almost like chewing on an old catcher's mitt now. Not that I have a frame of reference, lol.
Last night was the last of my drum lessons for the summer, and one of my kids blew my mind. He NAILED the lesson like a rock star, then gave me a gift card and a nice card saying how much he liked learning this year as it's boosted his confidence etc. It was pretty cool. I like to see them succeed at drums, but the biggest thing for me is not how "good" they get at it, but how they change as a person having begun to learn an instrument. They say 10,000 hours is what it takes to master something. I hope he continues. I've got 40 years in and if I have my way, I'll die behind the kit making noise.
Today my awesome and adorably crazy parents are taking time to come over and paint my living room, dining room and hallway. I've done all the prep work and my wife has washed down the walls etc., but with our work schedules, we just can't seem to get the time to do it. By the time we get home from work, have supper, clean up and do regular house chores, run the kids around to various activities, home for bath and bedtime, and finish off any little odds and ends in the house, it's 9 or 10pm and we're exhausted. Weekends tend to be crapped up with all sorts of extra stuff so painting just sits.
QOTD: I give myself anywhere from 10 minutes to 12 minutes. J/K, it's usually a half hour morning routine, bed to door.
Mornin' Menu Crew!
MIL still here (she's leaving Saturday). I didn't want to go out to eat any more since my weight got up to 150.2 (my limit nowadays is 150), so I bought a bunch of things at Trader Joe's yesterday. Success! Everybody ate whatever they wanted last night, and I was able to keep my calories under control. And I think we liked it almost as much as going out (well, I liked it more, since I wasn't worried about the calories).
I went to a fabulous class at my yoga studio over the noon hour yesterday. It was called something like "Meditation with Sound". The instructor brought a bunch of gongs and Tibetan singing bowls that she played throughout the class while the rest of us meditated. OMG. A feast for the ears and mind. I can't wait to retire so I can go every week - although I may even go on my lunch hour on Mondays when I don't have any meetings or desk shifts. It's so much easier - and really wonderful - to meditate to sound - especially *that* sound!!)
I'm so glad your interview went well, JB!! I hope it works out for you!!
QOTD: 2-3 hours for me as well. I'm usually up between 5:00 and 6:00 am. I eat breakfast, make my protein shake (that I usually drink around 10:00), do my physical therapy exercises, then hop back into bed to check the news, my email, OH, and sometimes Facebook. Then I shower, dress, and (usually) head out to a coffee shop en route to work (where I often spend an hour or so reading work-related email or doing other work-related things - nice way to ease in to my day. It'll be especially helpful this morning because I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK TO WORK. But five weeks from today I'm FREE!!!)
2 years 11 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with raspberries
MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein peach/mint shake
L: not sure. Maybe DH's leftover sushi roll. Or maybe Greek yogurt and 2 T cashew butter
AS: crustless protein pumpkin pie
D: TJ's chili lime chicken strips and lots of veggies
Morning all... Can't wait to hear all about it JB.. Busy week at work and two doctors appointments. Today I meet with the doctor to discuss my iron levels again let's hope my numbers have not tanked again last time I went from a 53 to 12 and honestly I am really tired of this. I feel fine and after the infusions never feel any different so I am at the point where if I don't feel bad why keep having these darn infusions.
QOTD: I usually only take about an hour between the alarm going off and leaving for the office because if I sit to long my mind starts thinking about work and all the things I need to do and my anxiety kicks in. My husband on the other hand he needs a couple hours needs to wake up slowly, drink coffee read the paper, shower, do his thing. Drives me crazy seven ways come Sunday when I'm waiting for him in order for us to get out the door somewhere.
Food for the day:
B: hardboiled egg and sausage and grapes
L: cottage cheese and turkey
D: pork
Have a great day people!

Morning! I've finally pushed my calories where I want them to sit for awhile until I'm ready for maintenance. Figuring out what to eat has been exhausting, but now I can be better primed for maintenance after awhile, and will have a bit more energy to support the time I spend at the gym. I wanted to at least be over that RMR number I got, which was 1,010 baseline. I'm not going to worry about the added calories they put on for lifestyle which set me between 1450-1600+ if I work up to that and do fine, great, but not quite yet. I know the RMR isn't a perfect number, but it is one I want to work off of and keep in mind not just for continued weight loss, but overall health.
QOTD: I prefer to give myself an hour wiggle room to get up, dressed, eat. I shower the night before normally. In an emergency, I can move quick. Can be out of the house in 10-15 minutes if I'm really lagging behind, but that makes me feel miserable.
Juniper I was going to ask how you're maintaining on only 700ish calories (if you are, your ticker said you were at goal so I assumed it was), but I saw in your signature that we have a pretty big height disparity lol! There's almost a foot difference between us.
