Ok, we just finished safe on Netflix... I tried it because of your binge watching it! Absolutely hooked on the show and the acting... I sobbed through the silent scream and cry of the father behind the closed door so his wife and daughter could not hear him.... so hard...but such thorough haunting plot/plots... so good..thank you

Netflix is a necessary post surgery item.

I went to Arby's the other day. I hadn't been in years but it's a good place for moist meat.

Mornin' All!

My MIL arrived on Saturday. Eating wasn't horrible the last two days, but still too heavy. I was oddly not up in weight yesterday morning given we'd gone out for Chinese food the night before (sodium...I'm very sensitive to it!), but I was up a pound this morning. I'm going to go to yoga his morning and have lunch at home rather than go out with MIL and DH - maybe I'll just have dinner with them. Or maybe I can offer to cook dinner at home for them. I can't let this get out of hand. She's here until next Saturday, and a week's worth of restaurant eating could be a disaster, even if I'm careful!

QOTD: not really. My dad was in the reserves and the National Guard, but other than having to go off to training once in awhile, I don't think he ever was actually called to do anything. My aunt's husband was a lieutenant colonel in the army, though. They moved around a lot in the 60s and 70s - England, Germany, Alaska, California - forget where else. I know he was also in Vietnam for awhile.

2 years 11 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt, five strawberries

MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein shake

L: maybe pumpkin yogurt with some oats mixed in??

AS: ??

D: ??

ex: yoga

Happy Memorial Day! Are you guys going to install the wood floors too??? I wish I was more handy.

Food luck on the job interview (on a holiday?)!

QOTD: My father was in WWII (Army), as was my FIL and MIL (both Navy). Friends in central Mass lost their officer son in Afghanistan a number of years ago, so I always think of their son and his family on Memorial Day.

We leave for Aruba in 12 days for 2 weeks and I am at the very top of my weight range. I'm going to try for a CAMAW week to drop down some.

2 Years, 2 months post-op

Always lots of coffee...

B: Eggs scrambled with cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Deli turkey or chicken meatballs (leftovers that need to be eaten)

D: more leftovers - scallops, I think

S: yogurt and or prosciutto/mozzarella stick

Good morning and Happy Memorial Day to my southern neighbours (yeah, there's a "u" in there).

Amazing weekend full of time with my family, lots of yard work, bike rides and little projects being completed. We are prepping for paint and new carpet, so the house is a little bit destroyed, but it's coming together nicely.

Menu: Protein bar and a coffee for Breakfast. Snack is a small apple plus 1/2 a protein bar, same for the afternoon. Lunch is 1/2 cup tuna with 1/2 cup cottage cheese and a bunch of cucumber. Supper is unknown but simple and quick. It's the last week for drum lessons before summer break.

QOTD: My grandfather that recently passed away at 92 was drafted, but he had a heart murmur so WWII didn't happen for him the way he imagined. He and grandma both worked in ammunition factories though (and if I remember correctly, that's how they met), and did their part on home soil. My great grandfather tried his best to serve in WW1, did all the basic training and shipped out. He was on English soil for all of an hour when they told him the war was over and he'd be returning home. He got his boots dirty on purpose and got back on the boat. He often joked that the "Krauts heard he was coming and gave up". I loved that guy, lol.

Happy Memorial day and good morning! Getting ready to go to the gym even if I'm feeling pretty sleepy. So tired today! Feel like I could crawl back into bed for a nap

QOTD: Most of my family is military. If I hadn't been a fat teenager, I probably would have ended up in the military too. Really I think a lot about it, I would have liked to join if I had been in shape. Even in high school I was MUCH too heavy, I doubt they would have accepted me.

Same with me in the military--if I wasn't so overweight I'd have enlisted along with my high school best friend.
