Mornin' All!

MIL doesn't want us to go get her until at least 10:00, so I guess we'll go out for coffee beforehand - and again after we get her! (I like to be up and out the door way earlier than that!).

could have been better food-wise yesterday, but it wasn't awful. I had them drop me off at home for lunch, so I had cold pork tenderloin and Asian-style kohlrabi salad, which was fine. We went to a Chinese place for dinner. I had my usual meat (non-fried) and vegetable dishes with no rice, but I ate a little too much - but again, it wasn't horrible. I need to really watch it this week because I know we'll be eating out a lot - I do NOT want to go over 150 lbs (I'm currently at 149.2 and have been sitting here for awhile...) I'm a little surprised the sodium from the food last night didn't put me over, but it didn't, oddly.

QOTD: We hardly ever go to picnics. I guess if I went to one, I'd volunteer to bring some of the meat, or I'd bring some kind of salad. Or maybe cut-up vegetables with a healthy dip or two. In other words, something that wouldn't be disastrous if I had to bring some of it home afterward.

2 years 11 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with chocolate protein powder and raspberries

MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein vanilla latte shake

L: ??

D: ??

Good morning! It's going to be a hot day today. May go window shopping at the mall. I would love to go in past the windows as well, but being off work over a month is killin' me! Not only the pocket book, but I'm just so bored. Though, I guess it's my own fault for being bored!

QOTD: I do like picnics, but I haven't been on one in a long time.

Hi all... Happy Sunday. Went and saw The Book Club last night what fun movie. Made me realize three things. 1. I miss my best friends living close by, 2. I want to join a book club, and 3. My husband and I really need to get out and do more on a Saturday night it was nice just going to dinner and a movie.

QOTD: We go to a couple of picnics every year my company does a big annual picnic and each office is assigned to bring a dish this year I think my office is assigned salads. Then my husbands family does a big family reunion picnic once a year and we always go to that which is loads of fun. I love my husbands family they are the best so much better than my family.... For his reunion we usually just bring your own food which works our well but then everyone ends up eating everyone else's anyway.

Food for the day:

B: eggs and cheese

L: ham and cheese

D: we are going to the races so I am not sure what I will eat but my friend that owns the track sent me a message this morning that he had some "Penny friendly food" in his fridge and to just as one of his employees for it. It helps to have friends!

Have a great day everyone.

I totally have a hot sauce guy! Local vendor, he sells at our farmers market. I also have a jelly lady who makes amazing sugar-free jellies and jams in my hometown farmers market. I haven't gotten up to that market yet. My favorite she calls "Sunshine in a Jar" And it's pineapple, peach, and lemon. SO GOOD. She also makes "Strawberry Daqueri" "Margarita" and "Pina colada" jellies. I mix her jellies in my yogurt.

I think I need to plan a drive home next Saturday morning :P

qotd: we occasionally grill out in parks, a lot of the ones around here have public use grills. It's a substitute for my liking to host things without a proper house to do so lol. So we'll invite some friends and family, and usually it's "BYOM"--bring your own meat. But we'll supply salads, fruit and veggie trays, etc. we usually bring tin foil (to cover the grill since they're public and I'm leary of how clean they are), paper plates and utensils, potato salad, chips, relish tray, condiments, and our meat of choice, which is often a marinated chicken breast, hamburger patties, or sometimes ill make kebobs. Haven't done this yet this summer, but not I'm kicking myself for not planning one for tomorrow.

breakfast: coffee with Premier, then I'm making bacon and eggs, maybe some spinach or kale in there.

Lunch may be skipped today as were heading to the pool for the day and I don't think I'll want to eat pool concessions. So I'm making a good late breakfast instead. Maybe I'll throw some jerky in my pool bag.

Dinner: making foil packets for the grill here at home: smoked sausage, shrimp, small pieces of corn on the cob, garlic chives, butter, and old bay seasoning. I'd like a salad, but I likely won't have room for one. My spinach needs to be harvested--it's going silty with the high temps we've been having this week

my, I'm chatty this morning!

Oh my god! Those jellies sound AMAZING! Now that I have weekends off I will have to go see what kind of local goodies I can find. There's a farmers market every Saturday that's really close to our house. Maybe next weekend I will ride my bike to it and bring a backpack to tote my findings home. You've inspired me, girl! :)

I love farmers markets! You can find so many locally made goodies that you can't find in stores. Plus, even if I'm not buying anything, I like going for the exercise :)

I am awake way too early. But it can't be helped the sun is shining crazy bright into the bedroom. Where is my pacific northwest cloud cover!?

Qotd: We picni****asionally, mostly at the pool or with my husband's work. I have a few signature dishes that I brought in the past. None are diet or post op friendly, but they are always requested so I don't mind baking them even though I don't partake. I adore baking and love seeing others enjoy what I make.

Accountability: Calories were low yesterday. With friends visiting I missed a snack and dinner was entirely new foods so I kept it tiny. But the 1.5oz canned pork, 2Tbeet salad, 1****ermelon, and a 1 inch piece of hot dog with the skin removed (off the grill) was so tasty. And it all went down just fine!

BF: 1/3 serving cream of wheat, 1 soft cooked egg

MS: 2oz cottage cheese

L: flavored tuna packet

AS: 2oz refried beans, 1/2 oz Cabot extra low fat cheddar

D: 2oz canned pork, 1t bbq sauce

A premier protein pudding at some point.

About 640 calories.
