What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?
I certainly understand about being self conscious about normal swimming suits. I would suggest checking out Swap.com or similar for "rash guard" shirts and swimming shorts/capris/tights. I really wanted to swim even pre-surgery but I couldn't get past my feelings about my body. Finally a nutritionist that I was working with said that she wore rash guards (with short or long sleeves) and swimming capris and that they came in sizes up to 5X! They were expensive new but it made me feel confident enough to star****er aerobics and swimming lessons and I soon paid for them since I swim almost daily and they don't fade like cheap suits! I've bought rash guard shirts on Swap and you could get some running capris or tights that will work just as well.
All of that said, everyone else is right, no one else who matters cares! There are women in my Aqua Zumba class who are at least 350-400 pounds and we all have a great time together!

Hey Karen, I don't know what size you are, but Swap has a bunch of rash guards for 40% off this weekend! Very cute and colorful!
