Safe travels and have a wonderful time!

Also thanks for the picture of the WWII memorial. I walk down there from my office at least once a week. It is such a beautiful location!

That is amazing that you do that -- when I was visiting DC, I thought "if I lived here, I'd be here every weekend" -- here being the memorials, the Smithsonians, etc but my friends that are local say they typically only visit when they have people in town! It's the same here, so many interesting things in Arizona but I typically only visit anything new/touristy when people are in town, so I love to hear someone that's not jaded about what's nearby, lol!

Well in the heart of the summer when the city is thick with tourists, I go earlier in the day. I can be pushy when the middle schoolers are cluelessly texting and not moving to let anyone get by....argh! If it gets too bad, I walk in the residential part of the hill around Lincoln Park and watch all the nannies out with the kids. The flowers are beautiful and it is a bit more shaded.

That said, I totally avoid the big events on the Mall. I deal with too much security every day to go fight the crowds when I can see it on TV!

Good Morning Julia and Menu Family!

QOTD: I love to take my dogs for walks. Yesterday Tippy even went with us. I also love to swim, but I haven't gone swimming since my surgery because I'm self conscious about all the loose arm and thigh skin I have. Maybe if I wear a cover-up, slip it off and hurry and get underneath the water quickly no one will notice?

PHOTO FRIDAY: Blossom and I taking a walk. This was taken a couple days ago.

Accountability: Protein - 129, Calories - 1,590, Carbs - 162.

Hello skinny lady! Look at you!

Have you ever heard the expression. "Dance like no one is watching?" I think you should swim like no one is watching, and go enjoy yourself!!
