What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?

That's frustrating about the job! It must be difficult to know whether to keep actively looking or wait for it?

The Cape isn't supposed to be quite as hot, but I'm going to Natick this afternoon and will have to dress accordingly.

My photo is of the meal DS prepared last night for our family gathering.

Accountability: I had EVERYTHING last night. Not too bad on the main meal, but there were appetizers, desserts and wine. It was worth it though!

2 Years, 2 months post-op

Always lots of coffee...

B: Eggs scrambled with cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad with pickles and cottage cheese

D: Chili (going out with old friends for dinner - just checked the menu and this looks the safest)

S: apple and/or protein bar

It all looks so great! Would DD be willing to share the recipe for the salad with avocados? It looks like oranges too. Yum!

Happy Friday all! JB - the uncertainty of job hunting is the worst! I'm sorry they are dragging your dream job out -- hopefully it will still come together. You're smart to keep looking -- maybe there's a way to balance the "job hunting is your job" with it's summer so maybe the job hunting job works 4-10s so every weekend is a 3 day weekend.

I'm off to Iceland in 6 hours and 17 minutes -- not that I'm counting! When I was there 5 years ago, I was at my lowest adult weight (through a summer of nothing but protein shakes); I am hoping to see some exciting before and after pics because my current weight is quite lower than that (we have some new people with us so will be revisiting a couple of the same spots). From a high of 103 to a high of 47 -- I am so excited!!

Thanks for all the tips - I have a few packets of emergency meat packed, along with some protein powder packets in case I run into any issues -- mostly concerned for the 5 hour and then 6 hour flights -- in Iceland, I can easily eat skyr for 7 days and be happy!

Accountability: Calories and protein and carb count have been good; I've struggled with fluids all week though and I know that's critical. Wednesday was my first day with no healing restrictions (except for the no nuts/peanut butter until 1 year) so I'm both excited and terrified to have more options to plan with.

QOTD - double features at the movies are my favorite thing about summer. I am not a sun lover - I could spend all day in a pool, but hate to be in the sun so I spend a lot of summer time (especially here in AZ) in doors. (On the other hand, if the sun doesn't come out for more than 3 days, I get edgy - I like the sun to be visible, I just don't love to be in it!)

Menu -

B - Protein coffee + 2 oz turkey breast

S - Protein coffee

L - 2 cheese/proscuitto sticks

S - 2 cheese/proscuitto sticks

D - greek yogurt

Totals - 546 Calories, 79 protein, 17 carbs

Exercise - won't get any in before I leave but I've got time in two airports so I plan on doing some power walking

Vitamins - all on track

Happy Memorial Day, everyone, my random photo is of a quote carved into the WWII Memorial in DC.
