I think you should go for it! Just consider the decision made and focus your energy on getting excited! All this hard work you have done is going to pay out with a whoo new level of confidence. I am jealous!
Scheduling PS is just like getting your date for WLS. You work and hope so hard for it and then all of a sudden it is on the calendar. Just take a deep breath and count the days to glory!

Yay! I'm excited for you!!!
I have a question about scars. Most folks post pics right after surgery and the scars scare the heck out of me. Do they stay? Do they fade? What if they don't fade? I'm not trying to scare you, I'm genuinely curious.

Good to know.
One more q: do you think the scars fade the same on light skin and darker skin patients? Because I'm picturing the scars fade, turn white. So on somebody who is fare skin like yourself it might not be visible. But take me, olive skin, would it even look more visible?

I really am not sure, but that is a great question. As a side, I did not any special vitamins or use any creams or anything like that after my surgery either. As recommended by those on here and my surgeon I increased my protein before, during and after as that is also supposed to assist in the healing process.
Good question and from what I know (not personal experience yet), it can depend on several factors. Yes, fairer skin doesn't show the scars as much as darker skin. Genetics and good health can make a big difference too. How have other cuts healed for you in the past? What you can do something about is, as Kelly said, increase your protein, take your vitamins, drink lots of fluids and keep your scars out of the sun until they are well healed. My PS explained that it is important to wear sunscreen over the scars even when they are covered by clothes. Unless the cloth is UV protected, like a swimming rash guard, the light will get to the scars and cause damage.
That said, some of it is a question of some scarring that they try to conceal as much as possible or leaving the loose skin and fighting infections, etc.

I had similar thoughts right after I scheduled my TT. Cost? Pain? Results? It was SO worth it (we are worth it)!
