Mornin' All!
I would definitely keep looking for jobs, JB. I know you want this one, but I wouldn't necessarily be counting on it at this point. Don't give up on it - it may very well still come through - but I'd keep looking. No sense wasting precious time; for all you know, that one may never materialize. Sorry you're going through this - I'm sure it's frustrating!
I scheduled my plastic surgery yesterday afternoon and then was having a spell of "buyers remorse" last night, even though I haven't really committed to anything yet. "What am I doing? This is so expensive. Do I really need this? Or am I just doing it just because?". Feeling better this morning, but still freaked out. I suppose it's like scheduling your WLS - suddenly, it becomes real.. I can always still cancel, but I'm pretty sure I won't.
DH's mom arrives from New Jersey tomorrow (for a week!), so we need to finish cleaning tonight. Ugh. How could we have let the house get this dirty?
QOTD: drinking and dining al fresco - especially next to a lake! (we have four lakes in town and a handful of others in the county)
2 years 11 months out:
B: overnight oats (with all this talk of them on here lately, I had to make some!) with raspberries
MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein shake
L: probably Greek yogurt and 2 T cashew butter
AS: protein pumpkin pie or string cheese (depending on if I'm home or at work)
D: Asian-style kohlrabi salad (testing this for a future cookbook - it was pretty tasty!) and either leftover pork tenderloin or chili
Congrats on scheduling your PS!!! I have recently thought about having PS, I am not sure why I felt funny talking about it with my Wife, she was supportive. I have worked hard and now I want a flat tummy! Happy for you!

yes! People look great afterward! I hate looking at this stomach when I get out of the shower, or whenever. No one else can see it - I just tuck it into my pants - which is why I sometimes question why I even started thinking about this - but then people look SO GREAT afterward. I'll probably want to show the world my new flat stomach (but at my age....no!!!)
To some extent you are right about being able to hide the extra bits, but you know and it can change the way that you feel about your post-WLS body. It's not always possible, but if you have the health and the finances, it can really change the way you see yourself.

Mike, I know what you mean about being hesitant to talk about PS. There are people *****ally look down their noses about cosmetic surgery. I have certainly been more selective about who I told about this surgery than I was about my hysterectomy.
For myself, I see the PS as the finalization of all my hard work. I've eaten well, exercised hard but I was still left with lots of skin that was stretched out of shape for 30 years and wouldn't go away. Do what feels right to you, but the results are like a prize for remaking a new you.
