Just a word of experience, skip the carbs, especially the popcorn. It does nothing for you nutritionally and will only make you crave more. Stick to dense protein, until maintenance. It will help you feel full and help to avoid the carb cravings.

I know that many surgeons and nutritionists are okay with carbs and even encourage them, but the successful vets (people with PERSONAL experience) have found that carbs are a dangerous slippery slope to slow loss and regain.

Just sharing what I have found. All the best!

I agree. Honestly the popcorn was more for fibre. It keeps stuff moving. I'm also doing a MiroLax/RestoraLax.

I'm also craving a BLT on Day 1 of maintenance. or at least a 1/2 sandwhich.

You could have a BLT - and wrap it in a slice of turkey or ham. I eat them like that all the time, "Sandwhich " minus the bread, this weekend we are having Philly cheese steak one night and I will have mine with sauteed onions and Mushrooms, steak and cheese and no breading.

Once you can have raw veg, lettuce wrap sandwiches are great!

As for eating the popcorn for fiber, I certainly understand the need to keep things moving on a small, protein-centered diet. It's hard at first. LOTS of fluids (well over 100 oz/day), regular exercise, stool softeners and veggies rather than starchy carbs, as you have room for them. It can be a constant struggle, but keeping away from the carbs means long term success! I encourage you not to play with it!

Happy Friday to all!

This weekend will be on the cold side. Low to mid 60s and because we are on the coast we get a lot of fog when it gets hot in the Valley.

JB - so frustrating for the wait but I hope the offer comes through. I understand the worry but I'm sure with your qualifications they will not let you get away.

QOTD: we are on the beach so summer or winter sort of same activities. Funny thing is that our summers are colder than the rest of the year due to fog. Sept/Oct is perfect here while June-Aug we might go days without seeing the sun. BBQ on the beach or bonfires at night are my favorite things.

Accountability : cals:840, protein:130, carbs:24

B: protein coffee

L: chicken fajita

S: cheese

D: TBD

JB - I thought if you (your avatar) when I took this picture. We went to a goat farm last weekend.
