Good morning. Wow. What a busy time at work. Thank goodness for my vacation next week (wait that starts tomorrow :) ). Heading up to a cabin in Wisconsin with DW and pooches. It's funny to watch them on the first day as they go leash-less and look all confused - as the property is on 8 acres. The last time I was there I'd get up early, make coffee, grab my book and sit outside on the deck with the dogs. Was the best part of last fall and I can't wait. Though I got seriously made fun of this week. The first thing I packed - guess it... guess it... Yes my food bag. I did pack one treat to keep me from drifting into the local snacks that I know my wife will buy. I found this dark chocolate protein popcorn. Yes, it's hokey, but it's a small bag and doesn't have much sugar - I can eat 8 kernels and be totally satisfied (about 60 - 75 calories - has 6g/7g of protein for that size portion). So I put that and my Bamba pops from TJ in the bag with my jerky, nuts, protein powders, drink mixes and favorite coffee. That and my books, music and my exercise video are all ready to get loaded tomorrow morning. Though my wife isn't 100% thrilled that I'm delaying our departure so I can get an hour in the pool.

Accountability was perfect yesterday, except I did eat half a mini-bagel for dinner with some cheese. I'd like to keep the carbs down as much as possible for as long as possible on this vacation. Weight holding steady at the new lower level, so that is good.

Here's the tripper - my neighbor called her VICIOUS. She's just noisy, but the sweetest dog you'd ever want to meet.

QOTD - My favorite summer activity - I guess I described it above - sitting and reading in the morning chill before it gets hot. Though my most favorite activity is to be out running during that time. Next summer for sure. All my exercise right now is targeted to getting me to that goal. It is taking longer, but that is okay. My balance is finally returning, as evidenced early this week when I tripped and caught myself. Even a couple months ago I would have hit the ground. I typically fell 5 or 6 times a year and it was bad. I don't fall often now, if at all (dog tripped me recently, but she did see a squirrel - so what should I have expected).

B - Eggwhites and a link of sausage

S - Plain Fage with tbs PB protein powder

L - Thai Basil Chicken and a small salad

S - Cheese 1.5 oz

D - Thai basil chicken (got to use it up before we leave) with small portion stir fried veg (was supposed to be my wife's stir fried chicken, but I forgot to say chicken and all we got is veg). Thankfully the Basil Chicken was mild spice, so she just added that to the veg.

S - square of dark chocolate
